It can be hard to find lactose free protein items. I have a pretty severe reaction to lactose and these are not an issue. The taste is good, not overly flavored and they don’t leave a weird aftertaste. Great snack that is filling and the size is perfectly portioned. Good quality protein chip and easy to keep around even at work.

These crisps make the perfect high protein snacks and the crunchy texture is truly satisfying. There is a good amount in the bag. Packaging is easy to open . I noticed not many of the chip were broken , so this bag is pretty secure.
Flavorwise , the Sweet Chili was my favorite, a good balance of sweet and a very tiny kick of Chili. The hickory barbecue had a nice hint of smoke. The Sour Cream and Onion was a little inconsistent. Some of the chips have a slight tang and some just salty without the sour cream flavor.
Overall these chips are certainly a top pick for protein content, flavor and crunch. The variety pack is good way to have a little of everything.

The first time I ate these I wondered if I had gotten a pack of BBQ potatoes chips. They have a good flavor and are not spicy hot for those who get indigestion from hot sauces. Just enough tang mixed with a little sweetness. The chips are crunchy, not crumbly.

PURE PROTEIN POPPED CRISPS VARIETY PACK – These are a great healthy alternative for anyone who loves a good crunch and has an affinity for chips. The popped crisps are low carb and high protein, 12 grams per serving, which is fantastic and perfect for an easy on-the-go snack. I typically try to get as much protein in my meals as possible as it’s often harder to find protein rich snacks, but these Pure Protein Popped Crisps have a nice flavor, satisfying crunch and can help me meet my daily protein intake goals. I ordered the variety pack which contains Sweet Chili, Sour Cream and Onion and Hickory Barbecue. All three flavors are enjoyable for a stand alone snack or to pair with a meal. And surprisingly there are quite a few chips in each bag, so it’s a good snack option for anyone looking for a healthier snack packed with protein.

The barbecue flavour is decent, and was a huge fan of the sweet chili- however the sour cream and onion has an incredibly sour flavour, not sour like sour cream but dairy which has gone bad type of flavour.
There is a nice light airy crunch to the chips, and is a decently filling snack at only 150 calories.
While the two flavours are great, I wouldn’t purchase again based off the sour cream and onion flavour.

I really like these protein chips because they taste amazing and I love the variety. I love that each different flavor from pure protein has a unique flavored to them. They do not all taste the same unlike other brands I’ve tried before. I love the fact that they are plant-based and they are never fried. They have a really awesome crunch to them and they hit the spot when I’m craving chips. I also like the fact that it has 12 g of protein and just one bag. I noticed that after eating the bag of chips, I felt satisfied. I didn’t feel the need to have another bag… Although I probably could’ve had another one because they taste amazing. The funny thing is that I actually found myself wanting to reach for these chips versus other unhealthy alternatives.

-Chips are my downfall, so if I can find a healthier option that fills me up quicker then I’m sold. These pop crisps did just that. I loved them. I tried all 3 flavors and here are my thoughts.
Hickory Barbecue 10/10- These were my favorite. They had just the right amount of sweet barbecue flavor to make them absolutely delicious.
Sour Cream and Onion 8/10- This flavor was really good too and my son’s favorite. The sour cream and onion taste was very light on these. I think I would have preferred for it to be a bit stronger, but would still eat regardless.
Sweet Chili 7/10- These were my least favorite out of the 3.
The flavor was there, but I felt like these gave me that weird protein after taste after and I didn’t get that from the other 2 flavors. However my husband absolutely loved these and they will go un eaten.

These popped crisps are a new protein snack that will satisfy your cravings. They have 12g of protein. They are crunchy, but never fried. And they are gluten-free and non-GMO.
So, what did I think? The texture of the crisp is a nice crunch. This snack is small and lightweight, so it’s a great snack to have on hand and perfect for on-the-go. Let’s talk about the flavors, though. I tried three different flavors; Hickory Barbecue, Sour Cream and Onion, and the Sweet Chili.
The BBQ has a bold and smoky flavor to it. The scent and taste hits you with every bite you take. I would have ranked this last before I tried, but honestly this was the best flavor of all three. Hands down. I was sent four bags of each flavor and each bag of this flavor tasted consistently the same, which I really liked.
The SC&O crisps are supposed to have a tangy and savory flavor, but it was just lacking in any flavor, IMO. Each bag was also consistently the same, which was a let down because I was hoping it was just a one bag bad experience, but it seems to just be a bad flavor for me.
I was excited for the Sweet Chili because of the promised heat and sweet flavor. Again, there isn’t much flavor to it that stood out as sweet or heat, but at least it had some flavor compared to the SC&O. I found that this flavor has an aftertaste to it while the other two don’t, though.
Overall, I think the Hickory Barbecue is the clear winner in the flavor taste test. But the general crisp, for all three, is really good that I would recommend trying and seeing which you prefer!
