Normally buy another brand but it was on backorder so decided to try this one out. More affordable than the other big name bag brand. Includes a scoop so that was a nice surprise. Only issue I had was that the seal broke apart from the bag a few days into using it so I just dumped it into a container. I wanted to try the bag because it was a space saver but oh well. Other than that the l-glutamine smells and taste the same as my go-to brand.

I had never taken glutamine on its own before and I bought this to build muscle faster and because I would exhaust my muscles too easily after working out. I have taken this product for a full week now and I have noticed that I my muscles do not feel as exhausted after exercising.
I’ve yet to experience any side effects and will update if any.
I’d never tried anything from micro ingredients before as I usually buy ON products, but this was much cheaper at the time and seems to be effective so I will stick with this brand and maybe even try some of their other products.
I didn’t notice a flavor at first and since I had never taken this supplement I wondered how to take it, but for those that don’t know like myself prior to purchasing this; it is a white flavorless powder. I took it with orange juice at first then started blending it in with my pre-workout protein shake, it blended easily with both drinks. It comes with a tiny scoop that may be hard to find at first (in picture).
Overall I think it’s worth the purchase and would purchase this brand over more expensive ones in the future.

I’m going to lump three reviews together for Micro Ingredients’: Creatine, L-Glutamine, and BCAA 2:1:1
They’re all great! The powers are very fine and pure white and mix clear in water. I really appreciate the lite packaging. I don’t need free shaker bottles or any extra crap, just give me a bag of the stuff I want.
According to the Micro Ingredients website all products are packaged in an FDA registered manufacturing facility and all ingredients come with USA lab test reports. The company is in Diamond Bar, CA, just east of Las Angeles, however the website doesn’t say where the manufacturing, packing, or testing is. It’s possible their offices are in CA but production is in Jyna, I’ll update when they respond to my email.
The Creatine and L-Glutamine are fairly tasteless when mixed in water, it’s barely noticeable. I am very impressed with that and will add a little to my water bottle. The BCAA, on the other hand, tastes like really bitter new running shoes. It even overpowered the taste of my protein drink. I’m going to experiment with putting it in juices to see if I can get rid of the bitterness. I might have to just mix a dose in very little water and shoot it. I mean, it’s not the worst thing body builders have had to swallow, but I was surprised it ruined my normally good tasting protein drink. The fact that these are pure ingredients means that I can build my own pre-workout and recovery drinks with whatever ratios and flavors I want.
One nit to pick is that one label has the recommended dosage in bold in the middle of the label and another has it at the bottom of the label. It doesn’t matter because I’m going to sharpie pre- and post-workout scoop sizes on the bag. I’m too lazy to read small print and figure out how many milligrams goes in a teaspoon.
Five stars because this is exactly what I wanted: pure ingredients without all the sugar, carbs, flavors, add-ons, etc. I also appreciate that these are all plant based and not petroleum or animal based. Getting your goods in bags takes a minute to get used to, but it’s great that it’s less packaging and allows for easier shipping and less crap to throw away when I’ve unboxed it.

I’ve been using this product for many months and have been completely satisfied with it. Some reviews say that it won’t dissolve in water, but I have found that if you heat the water to lukewarm and then mix in the powder, it dissolves quite easily and has no taste. I will be buying again.

This looks, feels and tastes the same as one I had been using. I decided to try this bulk package as I have purchased other products by this brand and have always been more than satisfied. I can fill the container from my previous brand more than 3 times from this one bag. It has saved me money and I order less frequently because this amount lasts me 3 times longer. I’ll buy it again when I run out.

Only 3 stars for flavor as it is flavorless, which is great as I use it in water on an empty stomach and don’t want a particular taste.
Main point is that it is easy to take, and works. No obvious benefits with one scoop but, when advised by a medical professional to increase until obvious improvement of gut / collitis issues. At 3 scoops at one time the benefit is clear. Also my cardiologist is pumped I’ve increased to 9 grams. No downside, no side effects, inexpensive, a wide range of benefits, and gut happy.
Highly recommend.
