I did the absorption test and these pills are absorbable with coffee, water, etc. I can’t swallow large capsules whole, so I simply chew them, then swallow them with yogurt. They are easy to chew.

These pills were about the size of an almond. Even after cutting in two, they were still too big to offer to my demure esophagus. Only a fully grown quarter horse could swallow pills of this magnitude. I tried crushing them up in my mortar and pestle. Much of it turned to powder, but the plastic coating material remained behind offering a sturdy and robust defense. Even after sifting out the coating pieces, I tried to solubilize the powder but to no avail, as the material was not amenable to solubilization and just floated around in water, milk, and almond milk similar to the flotsam in a farm pond in Alabama.
If you have the gullet of Mr. Ed these may work for you. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration of throwing them away, as the seller does not accept refunds. Gee, thanks Horbaach!

This formula was great, not sure why they replaced it with one that adds magnesium. Sad though because I can’t find this one anymore and can’t take the added magnesium because of kidney issues.

My doctor told me I needed a Calcium supplement after a recent bone test. In my research, Calcium Citrate seems to be the type of Calcium most readily absorbed. I really tried to find a Calcium Citrate supplement that didn’t include the vitamin D3, since I was already taking D3 separately. Now, I will have to discontinue taking the D3 and leave those pills in my cupboard. The only problem with this supplement is the huge size of the pill. It is hard to swallow and I have to swallow it carefully with plenty of water. I don’t know why they can’t make the pill smaller.

These supplements are big and too many for a daily intake. I find myself avoiding to take it.
