Wow I opened them and they look like they actually got washed under the sink. They’ve got pock marks in them they are obviously expired because they should not be that color and I tried one and it tastes absolutely freaking awful. I’m totally bummed I was so looking forward to these because I love this company. Unfortunately whoever is storing these things does not know what they’re doing. This should have never been shipped out to me or anyone for that matter. Yeah just know that vitamin c only is this color when it’s expired yep yep

After relying on Superior Source C 500 mg “Tangy” Orange Melts (Microlingual) for several years due to a disability robbing me of my ability to eat, I had my blood tested for various nutrient levels including Vitamin C. When the test result came back as deficient (less than 5; standard range 23 – 114), I was puzzled. I had the test repeated (the test was through a major medical clinic in San Diego). AGain <5. I ordered injectable Vitamin C from Australia. After only two days on the injectable Vitamin C, my test result was 79 (Std. range 23 – 114). Finally, detectable levels of C in my system and well within the healthy standard range. When I had called Superior Source the first time my tests were <5, I was met with defensiveness. I asked if they ever tested the absorbability of their Microlingual C—they do not. I remain puzzled. I never experienced symptoms of vitamin C deficiency; I never developed scurvy. Yet the test on this product was <5. I called again when I got a test result of 79 from the 2 days of injectable C. Superior Source transferred me to their Quality (control or assurance) department. We talked a long time. He thought the test was at fault (no, it wasn't). He then said, "You don't swallow it?!" I told him know, that although—as he said—"Microlingual" is a 'cute' name for their product, all the description is that it is to be taken as a SUBLINGUAL!!!!!!!!!!! "Dissolves on Contact" and "Mircotlingual "Tangy" Orange Melts dissolve immediately when placed in the mouth, heading straight into the body" and "dissolve on MicroLingual Melt" in the mouth daily." Elsewhere, Superior Source states "No Swallowing." Reading this from the product box to the Quality department person, he was puzzled and said the product needs to be swallowed after it is dissolved in the mouth and that he would check w/ the people in charge of writing the product literature. But I think he is wrong. I remain puzzled (understatement) how I could have relied on Superior Source "Tangy" Orange Melts as my sole source of vitamin C for at least five years, had test results at < 5 (Std. 23 – 114) and yet never shown ANY signs of Vitamin C deficiency. Next I will have to call the lab that the medical clinic uses to find out about their test. Is there some form of the ascorbic acid in Tangy Orange Melts that functions in the body but evades detectability by the lab test? Any ideas from fellow Molecular Biologists out there? Thanks! Meanwhile, I will try EZ Melts, as one reviewer said her lab-test levels of C were fine on that product (I am tired of injecting vitamins daily.)

Manufacturers had quit making the liquid vit c we’ve used for over 20yrs…have tried several & nothing compares…even chewables have tasted 🤮we have purchased 3 bottles…orange is our fav & tastes just like the liquid…if you have picky kids…kids w adhd…kids that like tart…this is definitely the product for you❣️

Taste is pretty sweet and tangy but edible. Just beware if you are sensative to really sweet stuff this might not be your thing.
