This is a short review, since magnesium glycinate is such a known quantity.
I’ve been taking magnesium glycinate as part of my bedtime routine in lieu of melatonin for almost a year now, and I’ve been trying out different brands as opportunity permits.
I’ve found these magnesium glycinate softgels to be noticeably more effective than those other brands for the purpose of sleep induction, and can recommend them on that basis alone.
As far as the usual checklist items for supplements, these claim to be manufactured in a FDA-registered GMP-certified facility by a US-based company, and to be free of most potential allergens and GMOs. There’s some ambiguity there on the origins of the ingredients themselves – draw your own conclusions – but it’s an excellent product otherwise, and I think it’s well worth the purchase.
For reference, a two-capsule serving provides 250 mg of magnesium, implying that a serving contains about 1750 mg of magnesium glycinate.

These Nature’s Truth Magnesium Glycinate 250mg, 60 Softgels are pretty solid from a name brand company. One bottle equals about one month of constant usage since you take two gels per day. I like this prefer magnesium glycinate because it’s said that the magnesium is better absorbed in the blood for compared to other magnesium supplements without glycinate.
The pills are indeed large, but honestly with a big gulp of water they go down quite smoothly. People are complaining about the taste and smell but what do you expect from a supplement? The supplement has a job to do and the brief amount of taste is not a priority.

I ordered these on a recommendation from my mother. I had been complaining about issues with sleeping, and she had recently started taking a magnesium glycinate supplement herself. They arrived quickly and seemed to be a good quality. The softgels are quite large, but swallowing them wasn’t an issue for me at all. My issues came after my first dose. Within hours, I had a headache and was experiencing dizziness. Random headaches are pretty unusual for me, but I didn’t make any connection to the magnesium supplement. I just took some ibuprofen and went to bed. The next morning, I felt great. That evening, shortly after the next dose of magnesium, I began experiencing the headache and dizziness again. Still, I didn’t make the connection. This cycle continued for nearly a week before the “lightbulb” went off in my head, and I began questioning the magnesium glycinate. I immediately stopped taking it, and my symptoms disappeared. A few days later, as an experiment, I tried my usual dose again. The symptoms came straight back. So, I ordered a different magnesium glycinate supplement to try out. It made me feel the exact same way. I plan to have a discussion with my doctor about the magnesium during my next visit. I really should have talked to my doctor before I ever started it. I’m really glad that it seems to help some people (my own mother included). It apparently just isn’t for me.

I’ve been taking magnesium for quite a few years now of all different brands. Some are better than others. This one seems like it might work, but not my favorite personally. Ingredients include: Magnesium. Other Ingredients: Rice Bran Oil, Gelatin, Vegetable Glycerin, Sun flower Lecithin, Caramel Color, Calcium Carbonate. Not a huge fan of all the extra additive fillers. Larger than some. Overall, not my first pick.
