These Electrolyte Stamina Power Paks are something I like to take when I’m going to be running or working in the heat. I don’t use them during running, but often before and sometimes afterward. They seem to help me both prepare for and recover from light to moderately strenuous activities that like to mess with my electrolyte and energy levels.
If my electrolytes get really depleted or I’m going to be doing very strenuous activity with a lot of sweating, then I need something like Normalyte NormaLyte Oral Rehydration Salts or TRIORAL – Oral Rehydration Salts ORS (15, One Liter Packets/Box) World Health Organization (WHO) New Formula for Food Poisoning, Hangovers, Diarrhea, Electrolyte Replacement (which is the same stuff as Normalyte but cheaper and without added flavor). But for preventative measures or just recovering from general malaise after running or working in the heat, throwing a pack or two of these Power Paks into a few ounces of water helps. The one thing these Power Paks have beyond the other electrolyte products is the many vitamins and minerals beyond electrolytes Power Paks contain. Sometimes my body notices that difference. The Power Paks are extremely easy to take and the flavor is pretty good along with the fizziness (which you can reduce if desired by waiting a minute or two after you stir the packet in). I love that I can empty the packet into a glass, throw some water in, and then just shake it gently with my hand–no need for a utensil. I’ve used both Acai Berry and Concord Grape and like them both.
What you shouldn’t do is dissolve a packet or two into a large amount of water (a full bottle) and then drink it slowly over time while exercising. It tastes rather horrible and flat. But that was me deviating from the product instructions. I learned my lesson.

I’ve been using Trace for years. Out of all the flavors, I prefer Concord Grape. I like theses because they are similar to E-mergency but a little more vitamin C and a slightly more potent than the other brands. But, what I like the most is there is less sugar than all the other brands.

Note: I haven’t actually started using the ones I bought from Amazon, but they delivered the exact same style box and envelopes I’ve been using.
When I get muscle twitches from my electrolytes getting out of balance I use some of this and I’m doing better shortly.
I tend to use it in light amounts… About a quarter envelope mixed with 500ml / 16oz of water. Often Pellegrino sparkling mineral water (does foam up some if you add it quickly, try over a sink the first time). Flavor is decent, not too sweet.
The packets are a good size for travel. Folding them and using small clip to hold them closed makes using partial envelopes easy.
Bottom line: When I need minerals, this works well, tastes fine, and isn’t messing me up with too much sugar.

I put one package in my daily water 20 ounce cup when I leave home in the morning, I drink about 1/2 of it and refill after drinking half. The first half is pretty strong and it’s perfect when I add half back in and this gets me through the morning.

Can’t say enough good things about this. I’ve done some insane hikes in humid, tropical environments and have had dangerous episodes of excessive sweating…I mean I looked like I just stepped out of the shower, you could actually wring out my shirt. Bad headache, muscle weakness, total heat exhaustion. It goes without saying that this is very dangerous. I mixed two packs of this into my water had a seat and in a matter of 15-20 minutes I felt like a million bucks. I was able then to carry on my hike for another 9 hours with no issues. This stuff replaces everything you sweat out. My wife was a doubter until a 6 hour mountain bike ride wiped her out, she totally hit the wall. She reluctantly had a pack of this and was good to go in no time, she was very amazed at how well it worked. I can’t recommend highly enough. Obviously you don’t want get to the brink like we did and it’s not something we aimed for, this product was a last resort to combat something we didn’t plan for…and it worked in very harsh situations. Now we take it BEFORE we do any insane activities and maintain throughout the duration. This stuff works. Oh and not be gross, but if you ever get sick with diarrhea and are prone to dehydration, this stuff will help…Not to stop it, but to keep your electrolytes in balance.

These powerpaks are fantastic. I feel a big difference in how I feel after just about 1 week of using them. I’m going on 5 weeks and I can tell if I don’t take it. The concord grape is by far better than the pomegranate blueberry flavor. It’s almost horrid tasting.
