Like that they are capsules and easy to swallow. Effective. I just wish they made them with natural C instead of ascorbic acid C. Would make it even better.

Great product at a reasonable price. Capsules are 500mg vitamin C. The front of the bottle indicates 1,000 mg as dosage level. One needs to take 2 capsules for a 1,000mg dosage.

I take a selection of vitamins and supplements daily. In deciding to incorporate these into my daily routine, and in order to determine as best I can what the proper supplements and dosages are that I should take, I’ve decided that a good vitamin C supplement is important to include. The guidance I’m relying on, from Eating Well for Optimum Health: The Essential Guide to Food, Diet, and Nutrition among other resources, is that I should take 500 mg daily, and I’ve also read that vitamin C products with rose hips are better than those without rose hips. After reviewing the various choices available here on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to select this Nature’s Way product.
The ingredients of these capsules are straightforward – each contains 500 mg Vitamin C, plus 100 mg rose hips, with gelatin, cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica as non-active ingredients.
There are also no artificial ingredients, preservatives, yeast, milk, lactose, wheat, sugar or soy. The product labeling does not specify whether or not these supplements are manufactured in the U.S. and contacted Natures Way to obtain the following additional information directly from them:
– Vitamin C-500 with Rose Hips does not contain any ingredients known to contain gluten. The label for this product is scheduled to be updated shortly and Gluten Free will be added to the label.
– they are manufactured in the U.S. (Green Bay, WI)
– the purity of Nature’s Way products is tested by their in-house lab
– per Nature’s Way: “All of our suppliers are qualified prior to providing Nature’s Way with raw materials. However, unlike many manufacturers, we do not rely on vendor certificates of analysis, but instead we test each incoming lot of raw material against a set of quality requirements including identity, potency and purity to include heavy metals, residual solvents, microbial contamination and any other known adulterants”
– They sent me a copy of their Quality Standards letter, which describes the many tests used in their facilities to monitor quality. They also mentioned the following which I think are notable (most of the following text is taken from their letter):
— The facility in which Enzymatic Therapy®, Nature’s Way®, and Integrative Therapeutics(tm) brands are manufactured has Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certification. GMP Certification confirms that a facility is in compliance with the dietary supplement GMP standards. Certification is awarded by NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit organization that supports regulatory standards through onsite audits and inspections. After achieving certification, SNA is then audited every nine months in order to confirm compliance.
— they perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits of their suppliers
— the Green Bay facility is also registered as an FDA Drug Establishment and has received GMP certification by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
— they are the first US supplement company to receive the prestigious MHRA GMP certification. The MHRA is the United Kingdom’s government agency responsible for ensuring that medicines, herbal medicines, homeopathic remedies and medical devices work, and are acceptably safe. Drug GMP certification by MHRA is required for facilities that produce human medicinal products for the European Union (EU). After a rigorous inspection process, MHRA issues a “certificate,” confirming the facility’s compliance to the human medicinal GMP standard.
— they are certified as an Organic Processor by Quality Assurance International (QAI). QAI confirms annually that our manufacturing processes and facilities are compliant with the National Organic Program (NOP) rules for the production of organically certified products

The price was almost half of what Sprouts was charging. Loved that

Every time I review about a product like a vitamin people say it wasn’t helpful. I am under the impression people e want me to tell them that it change my life and I lost 20 pounds/develope a six pack. But on a serious note I feel more energized when I take these. I only take one a day, when I don’t eat a lot of fruit just to keep my immune system up. I workout and people who are more active need more then the average person. I take them with a meal along with my fish pill, Cla, and probiotic.
There really no down side that I see. Just don’t be one of those people that take over 4pills a day or 2k milligrams. If your going to take more then one, I would recommend Taking one in the morning and one at dinner. Taking to much vitamin C can cause kidney stones along with other health issues. Drink plenty of water!
