I usually take the capsule form of iodine, but I needed some delivered quickly. Same result as capsules.

This is awesome. No additives and can take by mouth. I thought iodine was sweet but no, this is the real thing. Taste is what it is but not bad at all. The sweet taste in the other products was glycerin and that is a sugar alcohol which messed with my abilities to lose weight. I drop it right on my tongue. If you put it into water, I doubt you could taste it because it’s not strong on the tongue. I take 6 drops but only start with what is recommended. Iodine can cause heart racing if it is not meant for you to takes that much. I started with one drop and advanced one extra drop each week until I didn’t feel tired any more. Too many drops will make you tired too. I did this under the care of a holistic doctor. I started with a different bottle and when I learned of this one being pure, I switched with no problem.

I grew up on a large dairy farm and iodine was something we used ALL the time for medical applications on the animals as an antiseptic. There is NO MISSING the smell of iodine. Once you smell it, you never forget it and there is NOTHING like it either.
I received this bottle today and cracked it open. It smells exactly like iodine and when I added 2 drops to a 12 ounce glass of water………. it tastes like real iodine. Even the two drops are enough to add a small amount of flavor to your water. It is very drinkable, but for some (a small number I believe) it will be a little too much. Add it to something like coffee or milk or strong food.
I am happy with the product and feel I have received the real thing in a proper package to serve up an accurate dose of iodine.

I have ordered half a dozen times and always got the same clear, odorless one that I could put in my drinking water but this last shipment of two of them came light brownish color and has the same strong smell that the one you use for disinfecting cuts, insect bites, etc. To my shock, Amazon shows these are not returnable? Nope, Hommie don’t play that!
If you get the right one which is on the left, it is great but if you get one same as the one on the right, good luck!

For those that need to know, this product is vegan. No eggs, dairy or animal products of any kind per customer support. Here’s the wording of their reply to me.

A normal iodine solution in the supposed advertised concentration should NOT have this color. Not even close.
The last solution that I purchased from Horbäach was completely clear.
Iodine overdose is no joke and I do not feel safe taking this regularly. Hyperthyroidism is not something you want to be tinkering with. The fact that the product of this brand isn’t NSF or USP certified made me doubtful, but given that I had a good experience the last time, I was still willing to try and trust the brand.
This is a goodbye for me.

Liquid damage on outside of the bottle where top of dropper is, like a different bottle broke and got this one wet under the plastic. Not a big deal, but I don’t like getting damaged products. Still going to use it.
