I am in the process of increasing my ferritin stores to try to get rid of RLS symptoms (restless legs). I read that this formulation of iron was gentle and effective. It takes a few months (likely around 4 or so) to increase ferritin (iron stores in your body), so I wanted a product that would be easy to take over the long haul.
For the first 30 days i took a ferrous sulfate product from my local pharmacy (with a higher iron content and always with 500mg chewable Vitamin C). For this first month, I was taking it twice a day. I was surprised how little problems I had with this product from a toleration standpoint. However, it is difficult to take something twice a day and 45 minutes prior to a meal. I was glad when my 30 day experiment was done and it was time to begin the Albion product.
So far, this product is extremely tolerable. No problems at all. I will be unable to know if it is effective for another 3 months however.
I can certainly recommend this form of iron based on ease of use and side effects. We’ll see how well it does increasing my ferritin.
10/10 addenum I continue to love the tolerability of this product. My ferritin level only increased by two points in three months. I don’t believe this is due only to the product however. I continue to drink coffee and an infrequent glass of red wine. I believe the coffee is affecting my absorption.

I had low iron in my blood. Bloodwork confirmed. The weird sign was the craving to chew ice. After 2 days of taking iron, no more craving for ice, and next visit to dr, levels had greatly improved. Go to product!

Most iron supplements are notoriously hard on the stomach. I used to take non-chelated iron and it would always upset me, even at a half dose of 32mg. This one is a lot more friendly to the stomach.
A family member of mine had an iron deficiency and began supplementing with this once per day. After a month, the test revealed that the iron levels notably improved. Even though the dosage may seem low, it’s actually a lot more effective because of the fact that it’s chelated. It’s more easily absorbed by the body and the stomach discomfort is notably reduced. If you are not straight-up iron deficient and want to supplement with this for overall health, you don’t have to take it every day. The 90 capsule bottle can last nearly a year when taken twice per week. Additional advice from a naturopath revealed that the best approach to treating a deficiency of any kind is to attack it from multiple sources. Relying on a single supplement may not give you the results you want, especially if your body has trouble assimilating the iron in the first place. So for best effects, increase dietary sources of iron like red meat, kale, cooked spinach, beans and lentils, etc. Another thing you can do is get a cast iron skillet and cook with it as often as you can. The trace amounts of iron particles that get into the food can help. Supplement with this product. Increase your vitamin C intake and B12 supplements as they can aid with iron assimilation. If you experience stomach discomfort, try taking it on a full stomach instead of an empty one. The capsules are standard “00” size and are not hard to swallow.
