Magnesium glycinate is 14 percent elemental magnesium.
I measured the contents of two capsules, the suggested dose, and the total weight of powder was 1550 mg. 1550 x 0.14 = 217 mg
Calculations are above. If the powder is indeed pure magnesium glycinate, it would contain 217 mg of elemental magnesium. Not the 400 mg on the label.
I will not take this product from on greenvita. I have no idea what is in the product.
They claim GMP.
A person who takes magnesium under direction of a cardiologist, and needs an accurate dose, could find this product unusable.

I started taking magnesium to help with headaches, trouble sleeping, and leg aches at night, and it definitely works. The magnesium glycinate seems to help with sleeping well more than magnesium l-threonate. The magensium l-threonate helped me focus more at work, but that’s not really the problem I was trying to solve.
These pills are about 2/3’s the size of the previous magnesium glycinate one’s I had been taking yet they claim to provide twice the magnesium per pill. It did seem a little harder on my stomach the first time I took one from this brand, but it’s since been fine. It seems like that may be because it’s more concentrated.
I only take 1 a day, like I was doing with the previous brand I tried, and it seems to help me sleep just as well if not better as the previous one. It is double the dose supposedly.

Serving size is 2 capsules, yet the directions say to take 3 daily. Typos like that should not be happening…that makes me lose all trust in the product and now I have no idea if that’s even what is in these pill (and apparently neither does whoever printed the labels because they can’t even proofread). I’ll be honest, I threw these in the trash – if you can’t put out something that doesn’t have typos all over, then it’s clear to me that you do not care about much of anything and there’s no telling the amount of heavy metal or other filler junk that could be in these.

This bottle has enough capsules for a 90-day supply, assuming a daily requirement of 400 mg elemental magnesium. The capsules have a 2-year shelf life, so there is plenty of time to go through it if you only take it occasionally for a specific need.
I like that it is only magnesium glycinate, as opposed to a complex of different magnesium chelates along with other ingredients that promote sleep, muscle relaxation, etc.
I chose magnesium glycinate as it is gentler on the stomach than many other magnesium chelates.
I like that this brand is free of common food allergens like gluten, dairy, soy, peanuts and eggs.
It would be nice to see a multi-pack of magnesium glycinate, with enough for 1 year’s supply of magnesium, at a lower price per capsule than the current price of 11c/capsule when buying one bottle at a time.

These magnesium glycinate capsules provide 400 MGs of magnesium per serving. It’s a little bit confusing because the dosage label says two capsules equals 400 but the instructions say to take three capsules. These capsules are smooth and easy to swallow.

I got this because I take Magnesium for the Health benefits it may have. I became interested in Magnesium after learning just how much our brain possibly utilizes it. It is speculated that possibly some reasons for cognitive decline might possibly be related to magnesium deficiency. I didn’t put too much stock in that until I came across a USDA estimate that possibly more than half of the population in the USA may not be getting recommended amounts of Magnesium daily. When you consider that Spinach (cooked), one of the higher forms of food sources with Magnesium content imo ,has only 158 mgs of magnesium in one cup roughly, then it becomes challenging imo for me to get daily amounts of magnesium that I like. And to add to that challenge is that there are about 11 types of magnesium and some are thought to be more active in parts of the body than others. Magnesium Glycinate is considered to be a general form that the body may possibly use wherever so it may desire. And I think that’s a good thing considering the body has over 300 biochemical reactions involving magnesium. Many supplements I see have Magnesium combined with other ingredients. Some of those ingredients I don’t want or I am already taking and don’t want my dosage any higher due to those additions. This brand is solely Magnesium Glycinate. I have a brand that’s 100 mgs with each cap but that causes my pill count to go up for my 400 mgs I take daily which is what this brand is with two caps. So I cut my pill count in half with this. I take other forms of Magnesium on specific days and they too are about 200 mgs with each cap so it makes it easier for me to remember with all of them now being about the same dosage wise. With the Glycinate form of Magnesium , I like many others find it tends to make me drowsy which is why I take it before bed and really like how it affects my sleep health. I would not advise taking much of Magnesium since it can act as a laxative. Thankfully with the Glycinate form that is not so much of a side as other types of Magnesium imo. This is supposed to be third party lab results but I have not seen the results yet. I had no sides with these and they were easy to take. Good Luck and I hope this was Helpful.
