This tastes like Lemon & lime juice mixed with some cheap salt. I was very disappointed as I was used to Ion gut health by a different company which is awesome stuff but they ran out so I decided to give this a try. Ugggg, but who knows maybe I’ll get health benefits soon, I’m only on day 2 of Taking this……will try to do at least a week if I can

I follow the directions almost exactly as the manufacturer instructs: “ SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Adults and children ≥ age 4: take 1 tsp (5 mL) three times daily. Most effective when taken straight or in purified water (dechlorinated) and on an empty stomach.” Sometimes I only take it twice a day. I believe it is really helping me!

There are certain trace minerals found only in ancient humus soil. There aren’t many sources for it, other than shilajit (very expensive for a small amount,) or supplements such as this one.
Fulvic acid (FvA), comes from humic substances produced by microorganisms in soil.
There are solid studies that back up the claims of fulvic acids’s ability to shore up the immune system: From an online Ncbi paper: “Fulvic acid (FvA) comes from humic substances produced by microorganisms in soil. Traditional medicine and modern research claim FvA can modulate the immune system, influence the oxidative state of cells, and improve gastrointestinal function; all of which are hallmarks of diabetes.” Note that the study qualifies the findings by saying that there have not been enough human studies to confirm how well this stuff works in bodies.
Sounds good enough to me. The primary reason I take it is for my acid reflux. I like the way it makes me feel and seems to help mitigate my issues if I take it first thing in the am. This stuff is useful for gut health – it may not be The answer, but in my opinion, it’s definitely worth adding to the mix for those suffering gastric problems, especially if due to inflammation.
Note: remember to shake the bottle well before using. Also note that this is an acquired taste. It has a bit of an almost fermented taste and a mild citrus flavor. Doesn’t bother me, but some may want to dilute that teaspoon dose into a glass of purified water.
UPDATE: This stuff has really done wonders for my acid reflux. I never have to take Prilosec any longer – even Pepcid has become very occasional. This product has been the most effective answer to my 30 years battle with acid reflux. I’m buying a 2nd bottle today. Very pleased. Obviously, your mileage may vary.

I think the bottle sent to me was missing the lid to dispense the liquid in drops. Mine was a wide mouth about the size of a mouth wash bottle. I used my own dropper to dose out each serving. After a month of using it every or every other day, I still had trouble with bloating, gas, and the satanic odor that emanates from stomach acids that will clear a room quicker than pepper spray.
I do take TM’s liquid magnesium frequently and find that it works for me, so I was surprised that this didn’t. Maybe it has more to do with my biochemical makeover. What ended up working for me was apple cider vinegar, specifically in capsule form. Since I began taking it I haven’t had sour stomach once.

Why the widemouth bottle?
When the serving size is between 1/8tsp and 1tsp, why is the mouth of the bottle wider than a soda bottle? Other liquid products from Trace Minerals have either a top that serves by the drop or the bottle includes a dropper.
I’m still hopeful that based on other reviews this will help with my acid reflux. If it does, I’ll increase my rating by a star. But with a bottle this large, I’m going to have to buy an empty bottle that has a dropper to avoid spilling (which I’ve already done). Because of poor design, I lose money twice: first in spilling the product, then in having to purchase another vessel to keep it in that can adequately dispense it. So the $30 I spent on this one bottle has increased. It might sound nitpicky but when you’re paying $30 for 8oz of liquid, every drop is valuable.
TM, I love you. This just seems such a bone-headed oversight from a company that comes across as well-thought out. Please fix this.
