I just tried my second royal jelly supplements, and after opening the capsule the taste was SWEET and SPICY. It had a POWERFUL flavor!
I thought back to this first royal jelly supplement I used to buy, and how the taste was different. I used to open the capsule to taste the product inside with this one too. As I remember, and as other reviewers have stated – this product has a very “bland” flavor.
I’m not sure how that may reflect on the quality of the product, but I’ll definitely be going with the more strongly flavored one from now on. I’m still not sure how there can be such a night and day contrast between the flavor of the products. Compared to the one I just bought, I would say that based on taste alone, this seems to be about 3X less the concentration.
Like another reviewer said, it tastes like flour.

I had heard pretty amazing things about this stuff, so I purchased a bottle and have to say I’m not so impressed. Didn’t really see a change that I couldn’t get from just taking biotin capsules. Also as a quick note, the capsules are not vegetarian friendly.

Brought this for my mom, but she complained it being too potent. Altered a lot on her hormone level (regained youth?), not sure if this is good or not….

I’ve used this brand for over 3+ years. Every time I stopped using it, because I ran out and didn’t re-order right away, I noticed my skin on my face becomes and looks dry and I lose that youthful “dewey” look. I purchased this bottle of royal jelly capsules in an attempt to fend off my annual October/November allergy explosion. So far, two of my housemates have been sick for about two weeks apiece, and yet I am only experiencing a stuffy nose (suppressed with only allergy medicine and Afrin) — no fever, no hacking, no broken sleep. Is it the royal jelly? I do not know, but normally I do not get off the hook this easily. By now, I’d be toting my cough drops, Mucinex and tissues with me wherever I go, but I haven’t even touched them.
I can attest to the energy boosts provided by these capsules. I take three in the morning at about 6:45am before I leave for work, and I feel fantastic for the entire day. I find my spirits brighter and my pizzazz intact. I am in my mid-twenties and insufficient sleep catches up with me faster than when I was a teenager, so I am pleased to ward the sluggishness away. I wish I’d known about this stuff in high school, back when I didn’t drink coffee and did not get but about 5 hours of sleep per night. This is a lasting boost that supports me all day with no crash and no perceivable side effects. There is no substitute for proper sleep, of course, but again — this is supplementary.

I saw the high ratings at Amazon and became interested in this product; in my experience, Amazon ratings consistently deliver good estimate of product satisfaction when critical mass has been reached. There’s conflicting medical evidence out there for Royal Jelly (and some believers claim extraordinary powers, which may have hurt RJ’s legitimacy) but so long as you don’t have any bee allergies, it is generally deemed safe. Given the relative low cost, why not give it a try? Usually I’m a skeptic, but also considered the possibility that my filters are too fine and preventing good products from making positive impact on my life.
I have used it for a few weeks and what I feel is increased energy – my alert level is higher in the morning and I actually don’t feel the need to drink coffee at work, which surprised me. I also have been sleeping better – deeper and more soundly, resulting in more refreshing mornings. Others have reported similar results (or better) in these reviews. My results may be modest compared to what others’ have experienced or claimed, but it is good enough for me as it exceeded my expectations. While acknowledging the possibility of placebo effect, I would continue to take the supplement and have recommended to others.
