My wife and I have been using the MSM sulfer flakes for over a year and believe it helps a lot with joint and body aches. I detested the taste of it when dissolved in water and often said it tasted like sucking on a dirty penny. My wife and I said frequently, “why can’t someone put this in a capsule?” When we needed to order more, I came across this product. I read the reviews which were either very positive or a few negative. The negative ones usually said that it wasn’t the same product because it would float and not sink to the bottom like the flakes or powder. I was anxious to try anything that would avoid the taste, so I bought a bottle of the capsules. First thing I did was open four capsules (same dose I previously took) and put them in a glass of water. It looked identical to the flakes and sunk to the bottom and took a while to dissolve (exactly like the flakes). The real test was the taste test. Yep – it was the same dirty penny taste. We have been using it several weeks now and have noticed the same result as the flakes. It is the same stuff, but you don’t have to suck a dirty penny to get the impact on your body. For those that have “pill fatigue” it may not be for you, but this is a product we will continue to purchase.

I have been using this for awhile after reading of all the benefits of adding sulfur to your diet. I worked my way up to 6 capsules a day, 3 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon, with little more than a mild boost of energy. I also started giving some to my elderly cat, opening one capsule every evening and mixing it into his wet food in the evenings. He has spectacular effects. His fur is silky and smooth, his dandruff is markedly decreased (80-90% less), he appears less tired, and able to get around a bit more easily.
Upon thinking about it, I realized the difference. It’s the delivery method. So I decided to try taking the powder, too, mixing it in with a couple ounces of warm water. Yes, it tastes horrid (I’ve had worse, though), but it’s easy to rinse away with juice or even plain water. I just did it for the first time about an hour ago. Already, my sinuses are beginning to drain. Looking forward to clear skin and shiny hair.
So yes, MSM works, but I suggest using the powder, not the pills (hence the 4 stars). Your body can begin absorbing it as soon as it hits your mouth, instead of waiting till the capsule gets to your stomach. It’s also more economical that way. Also, Kala Health is a great brand. I trust them, although I’m branching out to try a different powder (Gold Standard) that was recommended on CancerTutor.com.

Kala health optimsm is the bomb! I was actually taking another Msm from a different company although I love the company the Msm powder was not right for me everyone is different. With the other Msm I gain weight immediately after I started taking it. The first week on it I gain 3lbs! I’m not the type to gain weight easy at all and I’m a vegetarian. I continued to take the other Msm for 3 and a half months and I gain 18lbs total. I also became depressed for no reason and my energy went to zero! The other one says it’s made in America but it doesn’t have a optimsm logo anywhere on the bottle. Anyway I discontinue use of Msm completely in lost a total of 5lbs then I decided to try this brand kala health OPTIMSM capsules and the next day after taking them I felt great mentally I was In a great mood and when Monday hit I was still in a great mood and I don’t like Mondays because it’s the first day of work lol. I’m still in a good mood 10 days later and my energy level is fine it’s not up but more importantly it’s not down. The best thing ever that has happen is my ALLERGIES is 50% better! I have a cat and I have cat allergies and bad fall and winter allergies so u can imagine how bad my allergies were. We’ll my allergies is 50% percent better and some days it’s been 60% better!!! I’ve tried mega dose vitamin c with no relief. I’ve tried quercetin with maybe 10% relief. I’m happy about this Msm clearing up my allergies so well and I only take 1 pill a day which is 1000mg. So I will keep monitoring my weight with this Msm so far I lost 1lb while on these which is good because I have not put on weight like I did taking the other brand, but if I began to put on weight I will update my review I will monitor my weight for three months while taking these capsules.

I’ve still been using this Msm and I have not gained a pound I’ve actually lost 7 more pounds. So within close to three months of using this product my allergies is still 50 to 60% better and I’ve lost A total of 8 pounds. So yes I will continue to take 1000mg a day of this amazing Msm and by the way there is a few people saying that this Msm is not pure well idk about that but my body seems to like this Msm so guess what I’m gonna listen to my body.
