First off, this is 100 days worth of healthy minerals for you. So this is a good amount for the price. Second, many of the minerals are chelated so they are easier to digest. These have many minerals that my multi-vitamin was missing. One thing to note is that these are tablets, so they are a little harder to swallow than capsules, but I didn’t have any problem swallowing them. I’ve never had an upset stomach or any issues taking them. Potent Garden is a brand I trust and I’m looking forward to continuing to take these!

These pills are huge – too had to swallow – I only take one because I is so unpleasant to get the huge tablet down. Will never buy again – if I ever use these up.

Calcium Carbonate is what is found in tums. It neutralizes stomach acid well, but it’s not bioavailable. Magnesium Oxide is not bioavailable either. You are wasting your time and money with these minerals. I can’t speak to the other minerals in this formula, but based on the two I do know something about, this product is probably a waste of money. Look for Calcium Citrate and Magnesium Glycinate or Citrate. They are bioavailable.

Potent Garden’s mineral supplement should fill a lot of potential gaps even in a nutritious diet in terms of minerals and vitamin D. I rely on a mix of brazil nuts and supplements for selenium, which has been researched to be an anti-viral. Zinc is prevalent in oysters and red meat, neither of which I eat particularly often, so I’m glad to have a supplement to pick up the slack. I like the fact that you get two bottles to last a bit longer. The recommended dose is two tablets, with the two bottles totaling 100 tablets, so this should last about 50 days, or three months if you cut to one tablet assuming dietary sources for a decent portion of your minerals.

The product has, what may be considered a complete array, of minerals that your body needs and uses. The doses are low enough to be safe. There is good assurance of quality with 3rd party testing and GMP certified production (these are very important in making a decision to take a supplement). I would say that one a day is good enough instead of the recommended two capsules. Excess amounts of many of the ingredients are not known to be useful. The only other reservation I have is that if you take a good multi-vitamin product daily, you will be getting most of these minerals anyway, so this could be redundant. It is something to check before adding these to your regimen.

This is a decent mix of mineral supplements. I wanted to add some trace minerals that I wasn’t getting in my other supplements and this seemed like a fair price. You get almost 4 months worth of supplements for the price! I’m already taking some of these minerals by themself so if I can replace them with this then it’s even better!
The one downside for me is the size of the pill. It is rather LARGE and you take 2! I do have a pill splitter. I understand that when you add a lot of supplements together the pills tend to get bigger. There is a picture of one next to a Tylenol 500 mg for comparison.

My fingernails have ridges and I’ve read that this indicates a mineral shortage. So, I’m testing the theory with this supplement. It has an excellent spectrum of minerals. The pills are large. I don’t have trouble swallowing them, but some folks may need to break them in half. I’ll update this after my nails grow for a while. The missing star is based on this final assessment.
