First and foremost, I would like to thank bulksupplements.com from the bottom of my heart! This product has honestly changed my entire outlook on life… More on that in a minute.
I was offered free product to write an unbiased review within two weeks, and I wanted to give myself the full two weeks to really let it sink in all that it has truly helped me with. Here goes!
Finding myself in a very low rut, I was having difficulties just getting up out of bed without feeling like I just should give up today and go back to sleep. Finally, I had conceded to the fact that, even after multiple failed attempts at exercising and eating well, I wasn’t feeling any better and I needed to start taking something. I still attach a deep stigma to prescription drugs (only for me, if they work or you, please continue to do what helps you most!), so I wanted to start with herbal supplements. I did a little research and found on multiple sites that the product offered by bulksupplements.com was of superior quality.
I placed my order and received the 100g St John’s Wort within only a few days.
At first, the taste was too bitter to take alone and I usually needed to chase it with orange juice. (Now I don’t mind… Even like it!)
I feel the product took a good 4 days to take hold in my system… And how do I know it was working, you ask? The best example I can give is a scene from the movie, Limitless. When Bradley Cooper’s character first initially takes the pill, his blue-gray world switches to a bright yellow surrounding; the colors of the cars and buildings are brighter and more vibrant and you can see in his eyes that his fog had lifted. It just “clicks” in his mind and his depressive-like state is over!
Now I wish, oh how I wish, this product gave me super-human cognitive abilities (wouldn’t that be awesome?), but it did the next best thing… It helped my own self be confident and self-assured in my own goals.
Before, couldn’t will myself to workout… Now, I can’t stop myself! I have increased energy, better focus, and most of all, better self-esteem… Something I have been lacking for a very, very long time. I don’t feel like I need to wait for the ball to drop. I have had a few bad moments in the last week, but I was able to let them roll of my back rather than pull back into that deep rut. I never, ever want this feeling to end!

Whenever I take this, gradually within an hour or two I can feel my mood lightening up. It’s this gradual shift rising up. I don’t take this everyday mainly because of the side effects I encounter that are bothersome to me. It seems to reduce my sex drive a bit, not by a great deal, but enough that it’s noticeable. This stuff also gives me vivid dreams, which I don’t care for because those dreams are almost bordering on the uncomfortable or unpleasant side. When I’m not on this, then I’m rarely dreaming. If those two side effects weren’t visible, then I’d likely take this everyday, because it works on every other level.
I’m giving this 5 stars regardless of those side effects, because those side effects are some of the ones listed with any St. John’s Wort supplement. It’s really a matter of do you want to be an unmotivated down trodden mood, but have a great sex life and pleasant dreams? Or do you want to be super happy high on life, but have no sexual interest and endure nightmares in your dreams. It’s a tough call I have to say. This was my experience, but yours may be different. Also, I’ve read other negative side effects that start to happen with regular use of St. John’s Wort. I don’t how accurate that is, but it seems no matter what we’re taking it’s going to eventually cause damage according to some.
Regardless of all that, on the positive side, this St. John’s Wort is one of the better ones I’ve tried. I found the most effective to be when I take just a small amount at 1/8 in the morning just before breakfast. I take it earlier enough in the day that I feel the side effects will lesson by nighttime when it’s worn off a bit. I could take more, but that will also increase the side effects.

Great price on a LARGE amount of bulk product. Package doesn’t say it’s “standardized”, so no guarantee on potency of active compounds. (St johns wort must be harvested at very specific time for maximum benefit) Hard to tell how strong it is, or how well it works (just received it), but it seems quite strong. Also, the package says it was harvested over 2 years ago, putting its expiration date BEFORE I’m able to finish product. Comes in an air-tight and light-blocking Ziploc type bag, but no measuring scoop. Easy to figure proper dosage though, as it has conversion of 1/4tsp=375mg, etc. I will take 3 of those daily, making this last over 2 years. For continued potency, I recommend squeezing out excess air when re-sealing, and keeping it in cold place. I deal with anxiety and depression, and having used St Johns Wort pills for years, I can tell you it is far better than anything “prescribed”. In Germany and other countries, this is the first “medicine” doctors turn to (because it works!). Not in Big Pharma America (partially for the same reason, and $$!) Updated after months of use… I am now more impressed with the product than initially- upped to 5 stars! Very effective in raising dopamine and serotonin levels at my dose. Compared to more expensive pill-form, my moods are much better, my energy drastically improved, attention and focus is better, my debilitating Fibromyalgia is better, sleep is improved. And at the fairly high dose (previously mentioned) the bag seems endless. My only noticeable side-effect seems to be a slightly looser stool (not necessarily bad). Purchase it, and give it a few days for it to take full effect. But if you miss a dose, you may notice it. I am NOT compensated for writing this review. Just a knowledgeable and happy customer. Did I just say happy?

I tried taking the recommended dosage but felt like I had caffeine in me for some reason. I dropped the dosage down to 1/2 teaspoon and I am doing just fine with it now. The price is great and I’ve been feeling pretty good during some hard times, pregnancy mood swings, etc… I recommend this as I think anything you get from Bulk Supplements is good in quality and a good buy.
