About five years ago, my physician added Gentian and Ginger Capsules to the supplements that I was then taking for purposes of regulating both stomach and colon function. This was necessary by virtue of my extensive travel schedule out of the country and the different foods I consumed which frequently caused digestive problems.
The product has proven to be an important addition to my daily supplement mix providing improved digestive function along with timely relief of stomach and related problems due to jet lag and dietary challenges.

I’m a regular ginger user for stomach upset issues. This is a blend of ginger and gentian, a substance I’ve not used before getting this. Gentian is an herb, and the roots have much the same digestive benefits as ginger. For me, however, I’ve not noticed any significant difference between this ginger/gentian blend and regular ginger.
The capsules come in a glass bottle, which is a plus, and the manufacturer takes steps to protect the glass bottle from rough in-transit handling, another big plus. What is not a plus is the size of the bottle. The 90 caps take up less than 1/2 of the bottle. It’s a lot of unnecessary waste, and something that I was surprised to see from this particular company.
While the gentian addition doesn’t add much value for me, everyone reacts differently, and gentian has been shown to have many of the same digestive benefits of ginger. This is an option worth trying if plain ginger is not as helpful as you’d like. Four stars.

I’m sorry, but I gotta put that review headline up front – because both your brand and your packaging would suggest that this is a “woman’s only” supplement. Whether you’re aware of it or not, you are performing a tremendous disservice to half of the population, who could greatly benefit from this product.
With the exception of natal/menstrual products, I am comfortable enough in my masculinity not to be turned off by your label, mostly because I know the benefits of both ginger and gentian. They are both excellent nootropics for gut health and digestion – they are especially helpful to relieve gastrointestinal
distress. It is a smart idea to formulate both of these ingredients into capsule form. Even better, this proprietary blend contains no added fillers like rice bran or cellulose.
So, if you don’t want to change your brand name, then for Chrissakes, at least emblazon your jar with a starburst that reads: GREAT FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN! And do it now, stat.

I have taken numerous nutritional supplements daily for over thirty years, so I am very picky about quality. There are a lot of products on the market full of unnecessary additives like artificial colors, flow agents, cellulose fillers, etc.
This was my first experience with any product from Wise Woman Herbals and so far, I have been impressed. Other than the gentian and ginger, the only other ingredient is the cellulose capsule.
For years, whenever I eat a large meal, I usually take a ginger capsule. I have used gentian bitters in the past for an upset stomach, but it is not something I take on a regular basis… so taking this ginger/gentian combo is new for me.
The suggested use instructions say to take two capsules prior to eating, but that was a little strong for my stomach. I’ve never had a problem with large doses of ginger, so my guess is that much gentian at one time was the culprit. Today, I dropped down to just one capsule and had no issues.
The product label states that two capsule contain 860 mg of a proprietary blend of ginger and gentian without breaking down how much of each. My only suggestion would be for Wise Woman to actually list on the label how much of each is included in a dose.
Again, this seems to be a high quality product and I will be taking a look at some of the other items produced by Wise Woman soon.

I have been using Wise Woman Herb products for years, maybe even for over a decade. Their products are top-notch and they are all sourced and produced in the USA (in the state of Oregon).
I was really interested in this product because it has ginger, but moreover because it has Gentain. Gentain is a bitter that has been used traditionally as a digestive tonic to stimulate stomach, liver, and gallbladder function. Ginger has always helped me with digestion, but by adding Gentain it has helped a lot more. I like this product because it is in capsule format so it is super easy to take (instead of a liquid tonic).
The Ginger helps with tummy upset and nausea, but the Gentian goes further and helps with deep intestine and organ relief and normalcy. I love this product for that reason!
These are super easy to take and I feel like they absorb and work quickly since the insides of the capsules are a powder. The capsules dissolve quickly. The capsule size is not too large, so these are very easy to swallow.
As soon as I opened the jar I knew this product was fresh – it smells amazing and naturally wonderful!!!
I am really happy with this product. In fact, everything I have ever ordered from Wise Woman Herbals has been fabulous. I especially like their throat spray.
