I suffer relentless allergy/sinus issues year round and take multiple meds/supplements daily to keep the symptoms tolerable. I hate taking meds and lean on supplements as much as possible. On that same note, I prefer to grow or forage my own herbs and botanicals for teas, tinctures, and salves, but I have not been able to source mullein locally in a few years. I was given the oppurtunity to try out this mullein powder and was very intrigued, but I’m also very skeptical of online herb suppliers. I did a bit of reading up on this company and they come pretty highly recommended. I’ve not been using this powder for long, and we are in our peak allergy season here in south Louisiana, so I can’t tell if it’s helping me any just yet or not. I tried mixing in water, but it’s not very good. Definitely an acquired taste. I much prefer to mix it into my hot teas. It dissolves fairly well and the taste is a lot less noticeable. Only time will tell as to whether this is going to help alleviate my allergy/sinus issues.

Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.
This pouch comes without a scoop, a serving is about 1/3 of a teaspoon (but it suggests using an accurate milligram scale to measure 1,000mg servings).
If used as directed it will last about 250 days (8+ months).
The expiration date on mine is Feb 28, 2027, so 2.5 years from now.
I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says non of those. The product page says 3rd-party tested, and cGMP standards.
I have used BulkSupplements.com for years. But I still look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. The bulksupplements site is functional, and even says they have COAs (Certificate of Authenticity) available for all their products. I don’t see a phone number but they do have a chat feature on the site, and they have a listing on Google Maps with both an address and phone number.
I found an article from the end of 2023 done by an online lab which tested 15 supplements from BulkSupplements, and 1/3 of them did not pass. Reasons included some that contained almost none of the advertised supplement, one had toxic metals, and another had 2.75x more potassium chloride in it than was listed on the label (noteworthy because that is involved with electrical signaling of the heart). I say this not to point out a problem, but to point out that when a problem was uncovered, they went to work immediately to resolve those issues. Respect.
If you are getting their products it’s also good to order from Amazon because based on online reviews there are quite a few unhappy direct order customers with regards to shipping and customer service issues.

I’m really impressed with the quality of this mullein! It mixes seamlessly into my smoothies without overpowering the flavor, which is a huge plus. I’ve noticed its effects and feel like it’s doing its job. Overall, I’m a big fan of this brand, and it offers great value for the price!
