    I have been taking cinnamon every day for over a year. I had a blood test with really disappointing results regarding my cholesterol. I went on a statin with really bad side effects, so I had to stop taking them. I was determined to bring down my numbers, so I started researching supplements. I started taking phyillium, COQ10, garlic, and cinnamon, plus cardio every day (20-40 minutes, plus walking more). The next blood test I had was significantly better, so my doctor said keep doing what I am doing.

    So, I’ve tried a lot of different cinnamon supplements. I’ve discovered that I would rather be taking a high quality cinnamon and it is worth the money to put high-quality cinnamon in my body. I have tried some cheep cinnamon capsules and I think they actually made me feel worse. I started using Gaia liquid capsules which are amazing. I take it before bedtime and I get a little cinnamon flavor during the night. I like that brand, but when I was this Dr. Mercola cinnamon I had to try it. What is unique is the cinnamon is fermented so it is absorbed and utilized by the body even more than regular cinnamon.

    These are tablets, so you can either munch on them or swallow them. The cinnamon is not that strong and the tablet is somewhat dry, so chewing is not particularly pleasant and not really unpleasant either. I think maybe it is better to chew on them because your body will add some enzymes from chewing and it will absorb even more than just swallowing.

    I love Dr. Mercola supplements. This is the 6th product I have tried from him and I am completely satisfied. His products are 100% top-notch and worth every penny.

    Love this cinnamon and it has made a big difference in my well being!

    I have been taking cinnamon supplements for a while now for both my cholesterol and blood sugar because I had bloodwork done and my glucose showed I was prediabetic. I always had normal blood sugar so that really scared me. My cholesterol shot up too. I was on a vegan, fully plant based, no processed foods diet at the time so I have no idea why all that was happening. My doctor was perplexed as well. He thought about giving me a statin which I declined and he asked me to track my blood sugar three to four times a day for the next few months. I left determined to change those high numbers without medication.

    I changed my diet to add lean chicken breast and certain types of fish back in, lowered my sugar and carb consumption, watched even closer how much fat I was eating, and started to be a bit more active. My blood sugar numbers were still in the prediabetic range but starting to lower. I added cinnamon capsules and my sugar is just about always in the normal range now. Occasionally my fasting number will be higher than I would like but not in the prediabetic range. My cholesterol has lowered as well.

    I don’t think cinnamon is the whole reason for the changes obviously but it helps. I get better results when I take cinnamon than when I don’t. These Dr. Mercola tablets are very high quality and fermented which is great for the gut’s microbiome. Also, this type of cinnamon is not the cheaper cassia type that can contain coumarin which is bad for the liver. You want to take ceylon cinnamon which cinnamomum zeylanicum is. Just a longer name. I am happy with this supplement and have no plans to stop taking it. However, it is pricey and I am not sure that cheaper ceylon cinnamon supplements are less effective. Still, this brand has given me results and I am sticking to it.

    I received this Cinnamon today, 3-1-24. The Best Buy date on bottom is 12/2023. Not cool. Not ok.

    I am a diabetic, and also sometimes have slightly bad cholesterol numbers. So I take this with meals in hope of lowering the blood sugar spike (that occurs with any meal) and slight improvement in cholesterol numbers. Although I am a Vine member, I’ve purchased many bottles of this before in the past. I do not expect large impacts from just cinnamon and think this product is a little overpriced for what it is, but this is part of my daily blood sugar stack and I like to support biodynamic & organic farming. The glass bottle is oversized and generally a few pills end up broken but it’s still fine to take those.

    If you are also diabetic, some other items that I like to rotate in and out of my stack are berberine, vanadyl sulfate, fenugreek, ALA, ginger & ginseng – as well as make sure I’m not deficient in Vit. D, magnesium, CoQ10, PQQ, B1 & B6. Many of you seem unsure of why is this item fermented (indeed if you don’t care about fermented you can certainly get plain cinnamon a lot cheaper) – fermented foods are supposed to be better digested by your gut and also improve the health of your gut. I have found this true over time and recommend trying to regularly incorporate as many fermented foods as you’re willing to eat as well as taking probiotics, to improve your gut health. No gut health = no health. Change up the types of probiotics you take every few months, and consider taking 1 type of probiotic strain targeted to your specific health concerns over “kitchen sink” formulations of small amounts of a dozen different strains.
