These Bio-Avail Myco capsules from Adapt Naturals arrived to me as shown in the listing here. There are 120 capsules per bag, with each suggested serving being 4 capsules, which would mean 30 servings per bag. The 8 different mushroom extracts within the capsules are all organic and consists of Reishi, Chaga, Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Maitake, Shiitake, Tremella and Turkey Tail. Keep in mind that none of these extracts are standardized.

I enjoyed using the entire package of this supplement that I ordered. The ingredients provided the benefits I expected – consistent concentration, and a light lifting of energy without a crash.
But the capsules used to package the ingredients disintegrated more quickly than I anticipated, so I had to choose between replacing the majority of the capsules with my own – or putting the capsule contents into a separate bottle.
I chose putting the capsule powder into a separate bottle…but that was a lot of additional work that many customers may be able to do.

Adapt Naturals Bio-Avail Myco – 8-in-1 Bioavailable Mushroom Supplement has a good variety of mushrooms that include the main types that I would normally take as separate powders: Chaga, Cordyceps, Reishi, Lions Mane, Turkey Tail, Maitake, Shiitake, and Tremelia. The capsules have a very mild smell of mushroom, but I could not detect any flavors. They seem to be a standard sized capsule and are easy to swallow.
Adapt Naturals says it is made and distributed in the USA and is listed as hormone free, gluten freenon-GMO, antibiotic free, free of fillers, and pesticide free. For as much as it’s worth, according to their website, it appears that they have been reviewed or featured by some mainstream media sources such as Times, The Atlantic, Dr Oz.
Mostly I appreciate that the packaging indicates the extraction ratio from the fruiting body of each mushroom as well as the actual amount of Beta Glucan that is present in this supplement. From the research that is available, beta Glucan seems to have the most evidence for how it works to support immunity in the body.

I like the compostable bag these come in, but for capsules I prefer a bottle to protect the capsules from getting crushed.
There are 120 capsules, but you are supposed to take four capsules a day so the bag only lasts one month. I would MUCH rather they nixed the unnecessary fillers and made me take fewer capsules at a time.
NOTE: I didn’t notice until after the first time I took them that you’re not supposed to take all four capsules at once. Elsewhere on the packet, farther down, it says to take two capsules, twice a day.
I like that the package say organic (except for those “Other ingredients” and manufactured in the USA in a GMP registered facility. I also like my supplement packages to say non-GMO and 3rd-party tested.
The “best by” date on mine is Jan 19, 2026, so about 1.75 years from now.
There is a somewhat earthy smell to the capsules and you can taste it if you let them sit on your tongue long enough. They are easy to swallow with water.
Not only do I like the non-Other ingredients, but I like that they are grown on natural substrates like wood logs and not grown in a lab. Perhaps that is the reason for the high price for just one month of supplements. Yikes. Once in a while my wife and I splurge on an expensive dinner… that is the kind of station this supplement is going to have to be relegated to until I get more rich, which is too bad because it is one of the most impressive supplements – one of the few 5-stars – that I have seen in a while (I can’t ding them because I’m not rich =)

I’ve been following Chris Kresser for ages, so I was really excited to get to try this mushroom supplement from his line of supplements. This has a huge variety of top mushrooms, I’ve actually never come across a mushroom supplement until now that has ALL of these in one supplement, not to mention they are all organic. My only wish is that there were less fillers in these pills, especially at this price point for a one month supply. They are easy to swallow and I have experienced no negative effects.
