Traditionally astragalus is used seasonally rather than daily, which is how I use it. Some years I’m late on the draw and already have something coming on when I get my supply. I’ve found that the illness clears up faster and with less severity of symptoms than it used to before I started using this medicinal herb. I have tried several different preparations of astragalus, including teas, capsules and tinctures, and I greatly prefer the tinctures for ease of use. I am especially fond of this formulation because it tastes sweet and earthy. A dropperful with a water chaser is very, very easy to take. Highly recommended. Keep in mind though that this herb boosts your immune system – it is known to be problematical for people using immune suppressants and not recommended in such cases.

Longer version – My Story behind the scenes – One Month With Astragalus
I have been using this tincture extract of Astragalus membranaceus root, which is also the most potent and efficient Astragalus root found in nature, it gave me many insights and benefits. One of them more expected, the other being positively surprising. I will make it as a list, so you all read through my one-month insights notes easily:
I need to note, that Astragalus in general is recommended to be used with other herbal preps, like other roots that cause Astragalus being even more efficient and effective on its consecutive input or effect on human body. I use, upon a prior recommendation, in connection with Siberian Ginseng tincture extract.
1. Energy and Vitality raised,
2. Good mood uplifted significantly, and totally smoothly and naturally,
3. Body Minerals Usage/Over Usage – I have found out, that Astragalus, especially Astragalus accelerated on Siberian Ginseng will start to use A LOT of your body minerals to get rid of “things”, to repair the body while also nourishing it, so I bought mineral complex (literally a sand from Austrian Royal family called Schindele that has the best market review in minerals and nourishment rescue in the world, recently being awarded their product a Medical Device – So this one should bring back the mineral balance) and some organic Superfood Supergreens powder to help Astragalus out from my side as well. Also a cleaned water like Fiji/Evian/Vitel….whatever helps A LOT better than a Tap Water (I mean – I can tell…).
The way I have found out that body mineral over usage was, my nails started to get repaired in a sense, that they got stronger, harder, in that way also sharper and the “Nail-Wrinkles” started spontaneously to smooth out;
_Also my hair first three weeks got just LITTLE BIT (for outer world unnoticeably of course) weaker, and fourth week my hair got stronger and stronger and grey hair parts started to get their dark brown pigment back (like a miracle);
_My teeth had stopped being sensitive and got significantly whiter (I am “chronic” 5-cups-of-coffee-a-day drinker), and gums that were on their decline in long-term paradentosis started to grow back (that growing made them little itchy 😀 I was forced to massage them from time to time, itching isn’t constant, it’s ad-hoc only);
_My skin started to get smoother (that means that elements responsible for skin nourishing including hydration and oxygenation have correct DNA information available so they DELIVER).
4. Mental faculties/Brain – Clearer thinking, interest in broad spectrum of knowledge again (it was reduced a lot lately in correlation to a brain fog [lot of coffee, lessen hydration, bad breathing, from that resulting into latent-made Adaptive Immune System by living in a comfort zone and other Brain Fog supporting lifestyle though…]). What Astragalus accelerated by Siberian Ginseng did and still is doing is totally rebuilding my base DNA matrix from scratch by simply stimulating my body in a broad wide spectrum of actions and interaction to behave in a corrective repairing (Re-Pair) manner towards healthy state of being. Now, with my own experience I can clearly see, how EVERYTHING is so interconnected! Wow. It has had a huge AHA-EFFECT impact on me.
5. Liver correction – I am still going through the regeneration, this one is a big one. Liver, in general, is responsible for ones uplifting vitality levels. You can at least imagine what’s going on within the Liver regeneration… Interestingly enough, Ancient Egyptians/Sumerians stated many times in their medical records on cuniforms, that individuals with damaged “Night Sight” were prescribed immediate Liver Regenerative Procedure. Frankly, until that time, I had no idea that the ability to see in the dark been just birth natural ability for human beings – interesting. Let’s find out ourselves, shall we!
6. Kidneys – My eyesight got better, I used to suffer with Astigmatism, seeing i.e. all night lights from the street lamps totally blurred out into a star-shaped light streams. Now – all sharp focused. And yes, also my eyes’ focus speed increased also. And black dots “swimming” inside my iris simply gone. My heart and teeth got generally better. No heart racing any more (after eight years), no more high or low blood pressure problems (yes, it used to go over a day up and down like crazy and random…), no more teeth decay and its interconnected teeth sensitivity problems and gums lymphatic swallowing etc. Just MAGIC! This all and more is actually interconnected with kidneys and their correct functionality.
7. The Pancreas and Gallbladder – They have close correlation to Liver context as well, and so very closely. The Gallbladder health is visible on your eye whites, and I used to have 15 years constantly RED eye whites. And now – SUDDENLY normal?! OMG, it’s like re-inventing a wheel again.
8. Digestive system and body pH balance – I would love to see either mine or anybody else’s Colonoscopy results before and after 3 months of Astragalus usage. I think, that there would be a significant research findings on how repairing or regenerative function Astragalus has, if nothing else then at least, on Gastrointestinal Tract walls and its spores cleanliness and integrity in contextual correlation to Gastrointestinal Tract problems caused by Plant Lectins over time causing increased Gut Permeability/Leaky Gut Syndrome, and driving autoimmune diseases also related to Colitis, Crohn’s Disease, Celiac-Sprue and IBS.
In general in context to my gut, I feel much lighter, no pain, no aches in there THAT WHOLE MONTH, normal stool in 12 hour cycles, sometimes 2-3 times a day, no bloating stomach, improved digestion.
9. Lungs and Diaphragm – Until the time I have started with Astragalus, I had no idea how much air intake my lungs are capable of. It started a day after first dose of Astragalust. I started to feel worse and worse every 3 hours and three days after the first dose of Astragalust it got me into bed with fevers, high temperatures with chills, increased sweating (even on my feet! I NEVER EVER sweat on my feet before!!! No way! …and look at that…). Long story short in this one – I have coughed out at least 3 large glasses of NASTY mucus out of my lungs, and had been coughing so much, I was unable to sleep over all the nights. Period. My lungs now are like new. In my throat my voice changed a bit and got deeper and much clearer. They say I sound calming and sexy, OMG… 😀 Ah well… Thank you Astragalus! In a contrast to my experience having such state for 2 weeks, one of my friend experienced no cold, no fever and no cough whatsoever. Everybody is different, and everybody deserves his or her own personal experience.

This is a great find. Twenty drops in warm water that’s all it takes. The energy generated although short lived is amazing. If you’re having a busy day 20 drops of this and your work load will ease dramatically because it gives you such a burst of energy – quite amazing. I don’t use it everyday only when I have a big work load to contend with. Definately worth a try

Product arrived on time and packaged well. I usually get another brand, but decided to try this one because of the slightly lower price. It tastes a little sweeter. The other brand was not unpleasant; it’s a taste one needs to acquire I suppose. As to the effectiveness, I can only guess, but I think I dodged 1 cold this season (did not catch a nasty one that dh had). I have been using astragalus tincture for about 10 years and I think it does help me stay healthier.

Due to kidney issues, I have high glucose reading for a awhile (on empty stomach), I read from researches that Astragalus root (not leaf) helps balancing blood sugar after eating. I took 3 times a day, the extract worked very well, I don’t feel sleepy anymore after a big meal. My recent reading also came down from 99 to 77. I also bought the capsule version but it didn’t do anything for me.

I love astragalus. For years, I told everyone to take echinacea ..but now I advise astragalus.
I smoked from age 12-34 when I found out I was pregnant. I immediately quit, but I experienced a “healing crisis.” I had bronchitis on and off the entire pregnancy. This stuff was amazing bc I would take a tincture full, and almost immediately it would break up the congestion . I give it to my kids now -3 and 1- whenever they get sick ..same deal..if they have mucus they can’t blow out, the astragalus almost immediately brings it out. Gross but oh so helpful. I can echo what someone else said about it helping the lungs. I had chronic lung issues even from childhood but I am able to breathe so much better now. I keep this and capsules around the house. Depending on how hard I get hit with whatever germ, I take tincture , capsule, or both. Extremely effective. Been using now for 4 years

I was skeptical about it being 2,000 mg in 2 ml, but I know what 500 mg feels like, and I know what 1,000 or even 1,500 mg all at once feels like, and this feels a bit stronger than even 1,500. However, the flavor leaves a bit to be desired. I’ve experienced 3 other liquid astragalus products and they all had the same great sweet astragalus flavor (when mixed with vegetable glycerin), but this one is kind of unpleasant. It’s more bitter than sweet. The first taste made me wonder if something’s wrong with it. I chase it down with a bit of water and it’s mostly ok, but I likely won’t buy another bottle due to the aftertaste. I can just take more of what I have been buying to equal this one since I actually kind of like its flavor and it will ultimately cost me about the same amount of money.
Before you say I should just mix it with water and then drink the mix, I find taking it straight off of a spoon and chasing it down with water to be much easier and much faster. I normally don’t mind unpleasant flavors either, so the fact that I’m chasing it down with water is fairly significant. So you should think about how important flavor is to you before you buy. If you’re even tougher than I am with unpleasant flavors, you’ll love the potency. Otherwise, this might be one to avoid.

Nothing to dislike about this astragalus..I have ordered several bottles I wish they would offer us much larger sizes..your immune system will be stronger and if u take this with red clover blossom and ginger they will clean out your lymphatic valves that allows excess liquids to drain and leave the body I also buy the powder and add to ginger for tea…I had a mystery swelling in my right foot that no Doctor or test could solve…Doctors always say it’s the kidney or Edina why the feet swell so the ever present pills ere prescribed only to have my swelling return once the meds wears out the body…I am a Holistic Health Coach and was determined to solve the mystery with my foot…my kidneys are well and I am healthy and skinny with no known excess water retention so I had to solve the mystery…I did a lot of research and learned about the pipes under our skin and how blockage can cause swelling in the body…This plant with ginger and red clover blossom daily got rid of my sausage looking right foot.My foot can now fit in many of my shoes again..don’t use it just a few times and the say it does not work plants have no artificial boosters so they work slower than the toxic meds the Doctor prescribed or those from the pharmacy and other places…I waited many months to write this so I can honestly say that my foot remains looking the way it should. No more swelling and stiffness..I still drink the tea but not often…you can also do drops of astragalus in water or lightly sweetened juice…plants are amazing…I will always have this at home
