Our family vet as well as the cardiologist said our Mr. Darcy’s heart rhythm was so erratic it was like a drum. It would stop completely , then erratically beat again; then stop .
Of course, we were fearful of his throwing a clot either to his brain or lungs or even just have his heart stop completely! My husband, who is a physician, even listened to this erratic heart rate and the stops, skips and got very concerned, too! It was unlike anything he’d ever heard!

His half sister -13 years old this month- has a heart murmur that was graded 3-4/6 a year ago, so she’s been taking the same protocol, starting low to make sure it didn’t drop their blood pressure too much.

Now, this might be a it emotional but my Bella was 15 toy poodle joy she was a super dog, she was the family referee, she decided who came in and who needed to be watched while in my home she was like having an extra pair of eyes while I was in the kitchen eytra ears for what was going on upstairs. I’ve had many many dogs in my life, Bella like I said was special, we knew she wouldn’t live forever but she was born in 2002 and this was 2017. She started a cough. Vet said collapsing trachea Then vet said kennel cough neither of them sounded right so I took her to a different vet he said no she needs Lasix this is old dog old heart and a heart pill, the coughing I didn’t mind I got up with her pat her little back offered her water, the vet said she would cough, this was rediculous even humans have delsym so up all night anyway I researched cough natural remedy to use in conjunction with the pharmaceuticals she is on, the cough was torture she wasn’t sleeping nor was I. I tried a few harmless remedies then I dove into herbal extract information. So I tried two drops of hawthorn extract. In ten seconds the cough stopped. She was walking to her dish for water then jumped on the sofa and slept all night. I kept checking on her. Her cough started again 12 hours later, usual meds and hawthorn extract this went on for weeks but she’s happier eating better playing so we continue. Two months later I find I’m giving the extract every six hours then every 4 hours, I can see we have a problem, she’s not doing well constant cough rushed her to animal hospital. They said she’s on the most lasix we can give her. We’ve done all we can. And we had to make the decision, our Bella was deaf blind and now struggling to breathe. We knew this was coming but it didn’t make it any easier thus extract gave Bella and us Two quality months beyond what she would have had. I’m thankful for that. We were able to bring her on a road trip with our younger dog spend quality time with them, thank goodness I found this extract my heart is still broken the pain is fresh all of us in our family we miss her so much my kids were 11 and 12. Now they are 26 and 27. That’s a huge amount of time. Even in the last days she gathered the energy to entertain my son just like she did when he came home from grade school , and be goofy and challenge to race him up the stairs bark and roll over for him, we all knew she didn’t have the energy to race him upstairs but she played the part. ..thank you for making the last two months of her life worth living thank you on behalf of our Bella. My high carbs diet was wrecking my health. I was lightheaded and winded after climbing the stairs (often having to sit down after reaching the top), and exhausted much of the time, struggling with high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Seven weeks ago I decided that was enough. Stopped taking Rosuvastatin and began taking Celtic Salt for hydration, and hawthorn berry drops in water and cayenne pepper capsules 2xd. Stopped the majority of the carbs. No fries with hamburgers, no sodas, no coffee, no sweets, etc for last seven weeks. Then slowly weaned myself off blood pressure medication (“Labetalol”) 300 mg 2xd.
