I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.
This bottle comes full all the way up into the neck! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a supplement bottle so full. Respect.
If used as directed it will last eight months(!).
The “best by” date on mine (THANK YOU for not printing it on the bottom!) is Nov 30, 2025.
I detect no scent or taste to the tiny capsules, and they are easy to swallow with water.
I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says none of those. The product page says 3rd-party tested and cGMP compliant.
I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. BulkSupplements.com is one of the companies whose supplements I have used the most over the years. But I still look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. The bulksupplements site is functional, and says they have COAs (Certificate of Authenticity) available for all their products. I don’t see a phone number but they do have a chat feature on the site, and they have a listing on Google Maps with both an address and phone number.
I found an article from the end of 2023 done by an online lab which tested 15 supplements from BulkSupplements, and 1/3 of them did not pass. Reasons included some that contained almost none of the advertised supplement, one had toxic metals, and another had 2.75x more potassium chloride in it than was listed on the label (noteworthy because that is involved with electrical signaling of the heart). One thing I admire about them is that they went to work immediately to resolve those issues. Respect.
If you are getting their products it’s also good to order from Amazon because based on online reviews there are quite a few unhappy direct order customers with regards to shipping and customer service issues.
I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but besides the use of maltodextrin, which I don’t understand the need for, I like these capsules.

◦ BulkSupplements is a brand I trust, and have personally bought a lot of my supplements from. I have also done a lot of research on them and found that they generally provide high quality products at excellent prices.
◦ I had never heard of Elderberry before, but it seems like it has a lot of potential benefits, firstly being that it’s a fruit. It apparently has to be cooked/reduced somehow to remove toxins however, which I would assume BulkSupplements does before putting it in a capsule. That being said, it may be a good idea to start with a low dose and see how this affects you to make sure it’s right for you, especially since dosage is kind of an unknown factor for this kind of a supplement.

These Elderberry Capsules from Bulk Supplements appear to offer the same attention to detail and consistent quality controls that I’ve come to expect from the company after years of buying multiple products from them. Full ingredient information is clearly listed on the bottle along with a best buy date and lot number for tracking quality assurance. Company contact information (in USA) is also listed. The bottle features a safety seal under the cap so it is clear that it has not been opened prior to your doing so.
The capsules are rather small (5/8″ long x 1/4″ across) and easy to swallow and I have detected no aftertaste. I have had no issues with any loose capsules that spilled their contents in the bottle I received. The color, which may vary as a natural product, is what I expect from a supplement containing elderberry extract. Based on the number of servings per bottle, I consider this to be a good value.

These supplements are very easy to add to any wellness routine. I like this company, they do a really good job with third-party testing their products to ensure potency and purity. I have used several of their other supplements and two of their bulk powders. I have been using their products for years because I see results with consistency every time; they are very effective. I love that the serving size is only one capsule and they give you a 240-day supply for an affordable price. The only thing I would change in the formulation is the maltodextrin in the “other” ingredients. Other than that, high quality and affordable product.
