I started taking this supplement in 2010 after being diagnosed with 5mm stones in each kidney. While it did not break down or ease the passage of the stones, it did keep new stones from developing for the 7 years that I stayed on the supplement (and watched my salt intake and drank plenty of water, of course). I stopped taking this and within 3 years I had developed three new stones in my left kidney. Lesson learned, I will continue to take this supplement indefinitely as a part of a healthy eating plan.

If adding this powder to drinks helps absorb better than pills, I’m all for trying it for 90 days. I had gout as a young kid and it has come back to revisit 40 years later. The last flareup I had was my first ankle one and it was the worst pain I’ve had in my life, easily. I’m adding this to my regimen of avoiding cured meat, drinking tart cherry juice, eating tart cherries and drinking lots of water. Mixes in well with tart cherry juice, definitely does not affect the taste. When I mix it in with reverse osmosis water, the taste definitely is noticeable, not horrible, but I bet my kids wouldn’t drink it. I haven’t had a gout flareup, but its been about 50 days so far, and adding one more thing to my routine twice a day helps reinforce that routine, so far so good.
