I really like this brand. My chiropractor had these on back order so Amazon here I am! Sleep better relax better just a general more content feeling. The dosage is 6 a day but all natural plants make me feel better! I think Standard Process is worth the value.

Most doctors recommend this stuff for sleep BUT my chiropractor recommended it for my back. Two weeks after he gave it to me, I stopped seeing him. And that was about three years ago. Bet he regrets that 😂. If you struggle with back pains leaving you motionless in beds for 10-12 days at a time or you just struggle with back pains, I highly recommend this. It does take about 2-3 weeks to completely get in your system but it works. It’s definitely not a cure but I was confined to a chair or couch 2-3 times a year because my back would go out and moving wasn’t an option. But for three years now I’ve been on my feet with little to no pain 90% of the day.

I normally take magnesium in the form of a powdered magnesium carbonate (Calm brand). I have noticed a big difference in my sleep quality and overall immune system by taking magnesium every night before bedtime. I saw this “Standard Process” magnesium and I was really interested in trying it because it is made more naturally, plus Standard Process is company that has been around for a long time and is know for their exceptional quality and purity.
This is an amazing product and I think a lot better than taking Calm brand. For one thing it’s easier to just swallow the pills after dinner, but moreover I think my body feels a lot better taking this. I don’t get the digestive problems, but it just feels really, really healthy (difficult to describe). I think it is because this is like “real food” and not an over processed unnatural magnesium.

This is a completely natural derived version of magnesium and with that you also get a balance of vitamin K, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and potassium. These vitamins and minerals are vital for our health as humans. So much of this has been lost to over farming, use of pesticides and other chemicals. This is a 100% pure, back to the earth product and it is worth every penny for the health benefits. I am so glad to find this product on Amazon, so it is easy to order. I take this every single day (in the evening).

For those new to Standard Process, this may seem like a puzzling mixture because it is not a normal magnesium supplement. With six earthy caplets only providing 17% of your RDA of magnesium, this would not be how most consumers would initially choose to get a large dose of magnesium. There is a confusingly higher RDA of K1 and iron and there are other vitamins in this mix.
Why? Because Standard Process is a “whole food” supplement, meaning they don’t just extract vitamins from their natural source or use artificial sources of vitamins. They are actually selling whole food extracts that are high in vitamins instead. So, the whole foods in this jar are high in K1, Mg, Iron, etc. When I was first introduced to Standard Process supplements by my chiropractor I was highly skeptical because there didn’t seem to be enough “RDA” for the money so it took me a while to believe they would work. But, they have been really effective for me and my family. We used them for over a decade and were very impressed with the efficacy of every one of their supplements.
This supplement was no different. The small amount of magnesium in this bottle seems to relax my muscles as much as my usual much larger dose of magnesium from another brand but this is more gentle on my body.
Although I use Standard Process less often now I would highly recommend them to those who can afford them and those who are willing to take more capsules/tablets per day. I know this whole food approach is so much healthier for those that can commit to it. This supplement works really well and is a great place to start with Standard Process if you’re not familiar with them yet. Anyone already familiar with Standard Process won’t need to be sold because they will already be a devoted believer in their high quality.

This is THE BEST magnesium supplement I have tried over the years! The key to compatibility for me here is that it is a food-based product (imagine that): buckwheat juice and Swiss chard juice powders, so digestion/absorption is easy and it truly balances my nervous system without digestive upset. I feel calm and more focused during the day and sleep comes easy at night. It’s not always in my budget but I do try to keep it on hand as often as I possibly can, it makes that big of a difference.

I have tried many magnesium supplements. I like these because they are plant based and clean ingredients. And they work and help me to sleep at night. I take one in the morning and at lunch and then in the evening I take 3. They do not bother my stomach.
