Even though we live in Florida, we tend to not play outside too much in order to avoid sun overexposure. I wanted to make sure my kids were getting enough vitamin D3, but since they’re 5 and 3, it had to be something that was easy to take. I also wanted to make sure that I wasn’t overdosing them on the vitamin. Since Day 1, my kids have never missed their morning vitamin D3! They make sure to remind me that they need it. It has a nice orange flavor, not too strong, and not too sweet. With Subscribe and Save, it was a great value. Highly recommend!

I bought these because my son needed some extra vitamin D. Didn’t think he would like them because he is picky and does like many vitamins we have tried. These are amazing. My son said that, he loves the lovely orange taste. He said they taste like orange creme sickle ice cream. My son said it gives him more energy. I have noticed he is more energetic, isn’t so tired anymore, and he has started eating more since he started taking them a week ago. The bottle has detailed instructions on use. Very easy to follow. These are not huge like most vitamins either. I recommend these for anyone whom had a picky child that needs a little extra vitamin D. They will love the taste. They smell great as well. Zahler is a great trusted brand! These are 1000 IU. No need to take more than one a day!

These vitamins are absolutely necessary for anyone living in the Arctic, as the sun does not provide enough direct sunlight to allow the human body to synthesize adequate amounts of Vitamin D even in the Summer months, because even though we receive 24 hour a day sunlight, the angle of sunlight is too low to add appreciably to Vitamin D synthesis. I buy these for my young children, since they have trouble with swallowing whole pills. I’ve tried these myself just to see what they taste like, and I would describe them as having a flavor reminiscent of an “Orange Creamsicle” flavored Popsicle. In other words, they’re delicious. My kids absolutely love them.
I have had a slight concern about the fact that these are children’s vitamins, smell and taste delicious, and are not sold in childproof packaging. It’s worth noting that current guidance appears to be that doses of 60,000 IU per day would need to be maintained for months before Vitamin D3 toxicity would be reached, so these do not present a significant risk.
