A female Dr. from India, while in the hospital, told me about this product. It is the only product that has helped to regulate my bowels! Great product and worth it!!

I buy a lot of NOW products. They are a very good value from a brand I trust to deliver exactly what’s on the label. I like how this inlulin is certified organic, tastes great and makes amazing yogurt.
I learned to make powerful probiotic yogurt from the book “Super Gut” but my yogurt maker included all the instructions and recipes needed to turn a single capsule of probiotics into trillions of live microbes.
Inulin is a key ingredient to successfully ferment probiotics at home. I mix 2 tablespoons of inulin with a capsule of probiotics and a quart of organic half-and-half cream. I typically set the yogurt maker for 36 hours at 99 degrees and it comes out AMAZING!
The inulin powder on its own though is sweet and delicious. It’s like candy for someone like me who eats healthy and avoids sugar.

I researched the health benefits of many brands before purchasing. This brand is at the top of the list for quality.
Tastes slightly sweet so it’s easy to mix with
Water alone.

Great type of prebiotic for the probiotics in your gut!

Used for yogurt making and it did it’s job. Had attempted making it without the inulin and didn’t work, added a tablespoon of the inulin to a liter of milk and culture and voila, perfect yogurt.

I really like this product. It dissolves easily, and actually positively affects the flavor of the food you add it to. I’ve had no negative side effects and it’s really improved my regularity.
But, the plastic container it comes in is poor. The opening is small and makes it difficult to scoop out the product when it’s not full. The snap on lid is not easily closed and doesn’t stay closed. A wide mouth container with a screw top would be a big improvement.

I have tried many “fibers” to straighten out my digestive system. It works well. The only slight negative part is it doesn’t dissolve and leaves small clumps sometimes. It dissolves in hot/warm liquid and cooks well without changing taste or texture. It takes a little effort to dissolve it in cold liquid, but achievable. I make iced tea with it and drink it all day and every day. It doesn’t make me gassy like some other “fibers”

After seeing a few articles describing the cognitive benefits to Inulin Fructo-oligosaccharide I opted to give it a try to see if it could help with my deteriorating memory. A study conducted at London’s Crown College found that cognitive test scores of elderly patients improved after 12 weeks on this supplement. This may seem odd for a digestion supplement but there have been a number of discoveries in the last few years concerning the connection between gut health and brain function. Apparently this stuff feeds some normal variety(ies) of gut bacteria that produce some compound that crosses the blood/brain barrier and does your grey matter a good turn. The study also found and noted that it had no other benefits at all as I assume this stuff was previously being marketed under other claims.
I started off with capsules. Though large, they were easy to swallow. I noticed no effect from them whatsoever good or bad, though they only last 4 weeks. I went to a 1 pound bottle of powder this time and have continued for another ten days or so. I have only my subjective opinion to rely on, but I feel as if I am seeing some small improvements in my memory: name recall, function recall, processing, etc. This time it seems as if use of the powder may have slightly increased flatulence (farting) but not problematically so and even if it was the Inulin, the effect is fading off. The powder is ASTOUNDINGLY tasteless. Last night I dissolved two heaping teaspoons in perhaps 5 ounces of warm water and when I drank it, it tasted EXACTLY like a glass of water. The water does not need to be warm – I was only trying to enhance and detect the taste of the stuff. The powder is extremely fine and dissolves quite readily. And I have mixed it in my morning coffee, juice and water. It would be perfect in smoothies if you’re into those – I’m just too lazy for that.
This powder was less than half the price/gram of the capsules I was taking and so I regard it as an excellent value. My deteriorating memory has been a major concern for me and the lack of effective therapies was distressing. This seems like a very low risk possibility with some valid science behind it. I plan to continue to take this stuf for 6 – 9 months before deciding whether or not I discern a valid, objective benefit. If I’d had some sort of baseline cognitive testing that I could repeat, I would test after 12 weeks to see if there were anything detectable happening. There is always the placebo effect but I do my best not to let my hopes and expectations hold sway. However, finding something that even suggests a valid possibility of therapeutic benefit improves my outlook on the future and I can’t deny that is an enjoyable change. I will buy Inulin again and I will very likely buy it from NOW supplements.
