Follow the instructions with the 20 minutes on then take it off. Great shoulder fit and is adjustable. I have used this multiple times and my only issue is after 20 minutes the inside melts and water drips on me. I keep mine in the freezer in a ziploc freezer bag to use at the ready.

I bought this for my son to use after baseball games. This ice pack stays cold for a very long time! Not only have we used it for his shoulder, it works great for other parts of the body as well. And having the straps keeps in in place. Absolutely worth the money!! This is the first ice pack I have found that doesn’t get warm after 10 minutes!

I’m 5’8″ Asian, medium build, small arms. The shoulder pack fits well on my shoulder and chest. For the arm, I have to have to make it the smallest size with the strap closed all the way. Putting it on is easy, just follow the video instruction they provided. I can put it on in 1 min including adjusting it. It really ice the entire shoulder, not just the rotor cuff muscles, and a little bit of the Pectoris Major. It is cold enough after 1 hour in the freezer and it last for 20-25 min, as advertised. The inside material is very soft to touch and thin. I think that’s might contribute to the many complaints about leaking. So I don’t fold it much when in storage and I make sure that I only freeze it for 1 hour. If u do more than 1 hour, it tends to be less flexible and when u put it on and try to bend it in shape of your shoulder, that might create tearing of the thin materials. When I have to fold it when putting it in the freezer, I fold it the way it comes and not trying to compress it to make it smaller. So far so good, no leaking and it hold the coldness for 20-25 min. I have not try heat yet. For $25, it is a good product and a good price, plus it is free return. IF it really leak in the future, I will report back, hope it won’t.

Really wanted to like this more. It’s not intuitive to put on (strap tight). Really have to cinch it on the side to hole tight on the shoulder.
Warms really quickly which defeats the purpose. Put it in a much colder freezer and it becomes hard as a brick. Not ideal.
I ended up putting a better square ice pack under it and using this as an expensive ace bandage to hold it in place.
It’s serviceable but disappointing for the price.

We started with the wrist ice pack and have upgraded to an ice pack for every joint. Husband is very athletic and he puts on his ice packs every day. He is 25 with shoulder problems already! He even brings them all on vacation in a designated bag because he swears they help with his joints and pain relief. This ice pack is probably the least used one we have because it is a little awkward, but I suppose for it to fit a shoulder it has to be. In terms of appearance: although it is large, it feels like it doesn’t sit right on the shoulder. It is made with good quality, however, I will say that most of the other joint ice packs we have purchased have the ice pack that is removable from a cover that is washable and protects the skin from the cold. He does wear a shirt under the ice pack as an added layer. Adhesion is great because it is Velcro and size is adjustable. It isn’t too thick of an ice pack but can be flexible once maneuvered a little (it is frozen, after all!). In terms of appearance, it’s a shoulder ice pack. It’s not going to be a fashion statement.

It does not stay cold super long which does require me to either put it back in the freezer or to flip it inside out and immediately put it back on using the other side (usually the non cushy side I use second). It conforms well. The gel inside does somewhat slide down to where it’s colder at the bottom of the pack than the top, but overall it works nicely. It works better than I expected but not exactly as perfect as I hoped. Overall I am quite satisfied. It does its job, it’s mostly comfortable although a tiny bit tricky to get on over my head with only one arm, not impossible but I imagine if one had very thick neck and shoulders they would want a bigger size. For reference I’m 5’6 and currently 144 lbs. I’m guessing if you have help to put this on or weigh less than 220 lbs, you’ll probably be fine, but any bigger and you might want to go for a bigger size just for the neck portion alone as it has minimal adjustments (but the plus side is that it is not velcro attached as it is sewn to the pack so no fear of it falling and droppingonce it’s on). The arm band stretches and adjusts plenty, but the stretchy neck piece only adjusts a little bit.

For the most part I like this product- I will do” a work around” with regards to the collar anchor. Much too tight around my neck when I use button fastner . It should have been an adjustable velcro system allow for the varying size of necks. Right now with this tight retention fastening it gets close to a choking feeling. I also agree that it loses the coldness rather fast, but it is good while it lasts.

A friend had one like this and while its not exactly the same its pretty close! I needed this after my arm/shoulder surgery. I haven’t yet used the straps as my arm is still in a sling but will soon. Both sides have comfortable material to protect the skin from being too “cold” when at first using out of the freezer. Occasionally I have felt a drip as it starts to melt. Hopefully its not a leak but just too cold but just condensing melting. Arrived quickly as promised, thank you!
