Yes, it is amazing prescription strength [Narcan – Naloxone] is available over the counter.

My selection was for a two (2) pack retail like box.
Instructions & insert?
Yes, which, by the way, has some level of instructions, on the cardboard packaging box, and an insert in the packaging that houses the delivery of the medication. However, I consider both to be small in size and not easy to read/view.
Size?
The retail package is about 3 ¾” x 6” x 1 ½” in size. The nasal spray packages, which are even smaller in size, and are like blister packs, measure about 2 ¾” x 3 ½” x 1”. The actual device nasal delivery device is even smaller, about 2 ¼” x 1 ¾” x ¾”.
Weight?
Each nasal spray weighs in less than an ounce.
Easy to open?
Yes, it easy to open, the medication’s blister type back has a foil type back, that has a large pull here section.
Indispensable?
I think this an indispensable tool for specific overdoses.

I thought it an absolute that I “must” learn how to use this. So, reading the inserts and the instructions are a must.

Notwithstanding, this writer wanted to take advantage of those benefits I understand are associated with having this available to use.

If you have a member of your household who takes opioids for pain management, having Naloxone in case of an accidental overdose is an insurance policy that you hope you never need.
I didn’t realize that it was available OTC. I’m very happy to have it, and was very impressed with how clearly the instructions are outlined. And, with any emergency application like this, it’s wise to read and understand how to use it ahead, just like I know how to use my EpiPen, that I carry at all times in my purse.
I think it’s also a reasonable price. Again, a valuable and possibly life saving element of any comprehensive first aid setup for a household containing individuals taking pain management opioids. Absolutely recommended.

Naloxone sprays have shelf life of 4 years according to the FDA, yet these sprays I received in July of 2024 expire in October of 2025, 1 years and 3 months after I bought them. This is completely unacceptable.

Today, it’s sadly a good idea to have Naloxone on hand, and it’s worth considering it as a staple for your first aid kits. The instructions are clear, which is very important if you’re using this in an emergency.
The price may seem high, but it’s absolutely worth it. There are plenty of programs out there which will mail you this for free (although I am not sure if that depends on county, state, etc.), but if you’re unable to get it for free then you should absolutely consider paying for peace of mind. You may not think you’ll ever need it, but who knows if you may be in a situation where you need it for a friend or family member.

Although the opioid epidemic is a scourge on this country, it’s great that we’re able to get naloxone over the counter so easily, should a situation arise where you need it.
This package comes with two individual nasal spray doses of naloxone, the same active ingredient in Narcan. Each unit only contains enough for a single spray, so if you find someone overdosing in need of saving, MAKE IT COUNT.
The really great thing is that naloxone is apparently completely safe if administered accidentally to someone who is not overdosing, so this is a truly a “better safe than sorry” solution for urgent medical situations.
Having this spray on hand could easily save a life, so this gets an easy 5/5 from me.

This set of two doses is exactly the same as the prescription version I’ve gotten for my primary care they’re the typical single dose disposable packs and while I’ve never had to use these they’re necessary to have these days. I do like the fact that you can order it online and don’t have to deal with anyone judging you it’s great for accessibility and has a very competitive price.

In today’s world, having a product like this on hand is smart, even if you and your friends don’t use opioids. You never know what’s in something or what a friend of a friend might be doing. It’s worth it for a little peace of mind.

Everyone should have this essential first-aid item on hand. I stow it in my work bag in case I need it. It’s just like the brand name Narcan in terms of its form factor, size, and packaging. It does not require any training to use, as it deploys directly into the nostril with a single squeeze. It’s much more user-friendly than the intramuscular injection naloxone, which has multiple steps and can be a lot more complex to deploy in an emergency. In terms of value, this is only a little cheaper than the brand name, so really I hope that there can be more ways to reduce this cost given the current rate of opioid poisoning deaths in the general population.
