Para usar a REVIX Extra Large Hip Ice Pack Wrap After Surgery, siga as instruções abaixo:
- Coloque o envoltório de gelo no freezer por pelo menos 2 horas antes de usar.
- Posicione o envoltório de gelo ao redor do quadril, ajustando-o para um encaixe confortável.
- Prenda as alças para mantê-lo no lugar.
- Deixe o envoltório de gelo no quadril por 15 a 20 minutos, ou conforme recomendado pelo seu médico.

This is a nice size, heavy pack with Velcro straps. It seems well made.
But they need to be made for the right or left side specific. Or to have loops on both sides so that the straps can be easily attached regardless of whether one uses the soft material or plastic side of the pack.
Purchased for an upcoming hip surgery, I tested the product when it arrived. I know that I will want the soft material side on my skin. For a right hip surgery that means I have 2 options: I have to latch the Velcro straps through the loop that holds it in place and then ‘step in’ to the ice pack, or I can strap the pack around my waist and then I have to be bending and rotating around the back of my thigh to latch the strap into the loop and tighten.
This is only a problem using the soft material side on the right hip. The plastic side buts the buckle loops in front for easy access.
It is the reverse for the left hip – soft side will have the buckle loops in front so far easier to attach. But using the plastic side on the left hip would have but the buckle loops in back of the thigh.
Neither option works well with my current pain and stiffness. Stepping into anything is difficult and will be worse post surgery. And rotating around my hip now is painful and that will likely be even harder post surgery So I will be returning it.
I do wish I had read all the reviews and noticed the ‘vine’ free product reviews – they always skew the star reviews in a way that dilutes review content and integrity.

The straps are sewn on and therefore less adjustable. The smaller leg strap would need to be wrapped further than is currently possible for me to get a tight fitting connection. I am 5’4 and maybe 130lbs for reference. I would also note it seems to be best used when standing or laying down it doesnt adjust or fit well when in a sitting position for me. It is very large though (including height) and covers a good sized area as a result. I will be sending this one back sadly and looking for a smaller size and /or that fits better when sitting so I can wear it while working.

These are a fabulous concept following my total hip replacement but they don’t stay cold for long, and that’s despite plunking them in our deep freeze instead of the freezer below our fridge. Otherwise they are comfortable, I like the fuzzy size against the skin so I don’t need to use a barrier and that I could strap it if I needed cooling while mobilizing. Stars lost because they don’t stay cold long enough. I do have two that I’m alternating between, but I’d almost need another two to have consistent cold packs. I opted to buy regular long icepacks to use in addition to the two I have. For 50$ I expected more of these- no leaks though.

This is an excellent ice pack for hip surgery, but can be used for many other locations. Its soft gel is ice cold but not hard so it’s really good against tender wounds. It does take a while to get cold but if you keep 2 in rotation it makes a huge difference. The straps are wide, stable, and comfortable. The Velcro loop material is along the entire strap so the hook end will stick anywhere. The bottom strap is a bit long for regular sized thighs, but you can bring it to the top strap. I got the XL pack to get more coverage across the buttocks and hip.

A co-worker lent us an “ice machine” that she used for shoulder surgery and I even bought bags of ice but my husband used this ice pack and preferred it. Not much hassle other than getting it back in the freezer bag. Would recommend to anyone needing an icepack.

Hip cold pack does a great job icing the hip area- just as good as ice machine, if not better. Leg strap is too long and does not Velcro to the strap unless I go around both legs. Hip strap is fine/good length. Soft sided barrier is just right. No need for additional barrier to protect skin. Freezer bag could be a bit larger to easily insert wrap to refreeze.

The size was good, I use it more behind my back when sitting or even driving. It seems to retain its coldness pretty well. Really glad I bought it.

Bought two of these pre-hip replacement surgery. If I knew someone about to have hip surgery and they asked for the top 5 things to get to prepare, these would be in there. Yes, the ice pack is pricey. But this pad is large enough it wraps around. I set mine by the arm of my chair and park my glute on part of the icepack and wrap the rest around the side of my hip. Instant relief.
This icepack is REALLY heavy. Some folks might not like that if they have a touchy wound. I was concerned about it because my wound really hurt (35 staples), but because I wrapped the pack around and didn’t have the whole weight laying on my wound, it was fine. (It might be too much to put on top of a knee replacement, for example.) I have not tried to wear it because I haven’t been that ambulatory yet, but the straps are well made and once I’m walking more I’m going to try it.
I do like the soft, brushed side designed to put next to my skin, but if I’m wearing pajamas or leggings I use the other side because it feels colder. I haven’t timed how long it stays cold, but it’s a decent length of time. Not all night, but certainly a few hours. I tend to swap mine every 3 hours or so because I want the pack COLD not just cool. These are really well made and seem like they’ll last a long time. I’m going to gift one to my son for his achy neck once I’m healed and keep the other one myself.

Great option for icing. Stays in place if I need to walk around. The only thing I don’t like is how much condensation forms on the outside. It stays cold for about 30 minutes.

Nothing dainty or delicate about this gel pack. Excellent size to cover hip from surgery. Works great.
