These are just as strong as icy hot, but they have a big fault. They don’t stay on. You would need to wear a brace to keep it in place, but that can get uncomfortable if you can deal with that, because you get more of the product might be worth your while.

These patches are amazing and a new steeple added to my personal pain management regimen!
I have used these consistently for four days before deciding to write a review on them. A few days ago, I purchased a pack of these for my best friend whom has RSD and has recently had an unbareable flare up in her legs from her knees down to her ankle. I suffer from constant Neuropathy as a result of a recent a Spine in jury and the pains related to relapsing MS. With both of us being in constant pain and not willing to take pain killers all day everyday, I found these HealthWise Medicated Cold Hot Patches on Amazon and after reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try.
The delivery was fast, both of us received our delivery the day after I ordered them, the packaging is good and althoughthe came in those envelopes and not Amazon boxes, the product box wasn’t crushed.
There are three resealable pouches that come in the HealthWise box, with 5 very big pads in each resealable pouch. I noticed that when I opened for first pack up, all of the wipes were extremely moist and cool; however, each time thereafter the wipes have not been moist on the side facing up. When I reseal them, I am sure to be careful getting as much air out as possible and closing the dealer very tight so that the pads don’t dry out but in the future I will buy smallziplock bags, place each pad individually in there, then place them all in the sealablr pouches too see if this holds the moisture better.
None the less, once the plastic covering the sticky side is removed, the patch is still very moiste and the menthol effect is still there.
The patches work for my best friend and I. I have heard less complains of pain from her since using them and I have been feeling a great deal of relief as well. Two out of the four times I have used them so far, I have used my TENS unit first and placed the patches on my back following that. I normally shower and dry myself before using them and since I put them on my back, mainly my Lumbar, my back is dry but if I’m not literally laying still on my stomach, the pad always moves around, it scratches up and I have to continuously re adjust it. I don’t know if it’s because my skin is naturally soft (not oily), or what but I really can’t get these pads to stick unless I am laying completely still on my stomach, which sucks because I’d like to be able to put them on before I leave home so that I can have continual relief while going to medical appointments but I cannot be so lucky (as of yet). If this changes and I find them to stick to my skin, I will update this information.
The Menthol effect is sooooo perfect. It is extremely cooling and super relaxing. I feel like I am having a Spa day everytime I put the patch on and the pain really does diminish for hours at a time, which is greatly appreciated when you are used to being in pain, literally 24/7, 365.
I definitely will be buying more of these and I will try the non Menthol pads as well. The Menthol are absolutely wonderful but the smell is there, it’s not overwhelming but I’ll see if the non Menthol ones are just as good so that I can have options when I am around others and don’t want to smell like I have been running myself down with Bengay, LOL.

Reasonable pricing and works well. Used underneath a knee brace so that helps to keep it from rolling under long pants. Does have a strong menthol smell if you are sensitive to that.

Bad upper back strain, both sides killing me. Was using cream but it just wasn’t working. Tried these, great. The only downside is needing longer arms, given the pain was so bad I couldn’t lift up over my head any further than my elbows, but I stuck the first part on and then gradually peeled it off into the right position. Relief!

If you can use medical tape to hold these in place because they can roll off or become too mushy to work properly. It also depends on where you put these pads (and, oh btw you don’t want to apply this and then touch sensitive areas like you eyes or any others sensitive area before you wash your hands. Wash first and diligently before anywhere else. I use them on my neck, arms, legs chest and back. There isn’t one perfect tool which will work on everyone. Some may need physical therapy and/or pain relief meds and/or wraps/support devices. I am trying the icy hot roll on product to be more targeting to locations of pain. There are advantages to using the pads and advantages to using the roll on. The pads don’t transfer the medication to clothing as the roll on will but when the medication wears off from the pads you just peal it off and wash the area well. There is nothing to throw away with the roll on. The pads require to be kept in a sealed bag so they don’t all activate in air and become useless when needed so the roll on gains traction over the pads for transport and use. Having said all that, again, its all personal choice. You might need to try them all and decide if you want/need increased/decreased medical strength of one over the other or which chemical is used for one or the other. Some may have negative reaction to one over the other. You might even need to speak to your physician before you try any of these pads/roll one for me its mostly a question of how bad the pain is on a given day, what activities I will be involved in, the weather and other factors on a daily basis. I will say this again, WATCH WHAT YOU TOCH AFTER HANDLING ANY OF THESE ITEMS AS THEY CAN CAUSE LOCALIZED MEDICAL ISSUES (LIKE GROIN) OR WORSE IF YOU TOUCH ANYWHERE NEAR EYES.

These were smaller than I thought. My mistake since I didnt look to see the actual size. Just make sure you check the size before ordering. I use for lower back and the XL ones by Icy Hot are much better suited for that. Adhesion was okay. Not as sticky as I thought they would be. Could have been a bad batch though.
