These are effective and are much less stressful than regular laxatives, no matter how “gentle” they are supposed to be. My doctor advised four a day, but one turns out to be enough.

I rarely write reviews, especially negative in nature, but the smell of the pills is overwhelmingly that of a rotten fish odor. I notified the company via email as well. The order was promptly delivered by Amazon and I was happy the pills arrived so quickly, but the moment I opened the bottle, the odor made me literally gag. Almost as strong as smelling salts if any of you remember that experience. Just a bad batch of pills… most likely. BUT after re-reading other reviews regarding smell, those reviews were not wrong. As a physician’s daughter, myself, I will not take the chance of ingesting them for logical, obvious fears. Such a potentially great deal at 400 pills, completely wasted. I had to trash them. A real shame because the pills were Not sticking together as others suggested, for me but I could not get past the awful smell. Hope this review helps others make a proper choice. For 10 bucks, I might re-order and see if it was just an old bottle, but I think I will stick with the major brand and pay the extra for safety measures. Thank you.

Good affordable product. Natural as in pill form, but it isn’t some harsh medicine that gives tons of side effects. It just helps transport water to your waste to make it softer, hence the name Stool Softener. Usually taken at bedtime or may need an extra dose at daytime, depending on one’s need. Remember that water is the trick so do drink lots of water in-between as well. Keeping hydrated is a good idea anyway, so that’s double the benefits.
