It worked for my kid! I made my daughter wear it most of the day and night except for bathing time. And her hernia was gone in a matter of weeks. Very important to check with every diaper change to make sure it all looks normal and it’s on the right place because I noticed it can slide and sometimes it could be a little too tight

The belt itself is useless. Imagine trying to push down the umbilical hernia with the pillow on top, with your infant on their back, then trying to velcro the two sides together behind your infant’s back WHILE keeping the pressure on the pillow so the hernia doesn’t pop out as you’re trying to secure the belt around them. It’s impossible.
HOWEVER, you CAN use the little belly button pillows that come with this along with some cohesive medical bandage, and that seems to work alright. Just forget about the belt they give you—it’s a horrible design to think you could actually secure the velcro properly on your infant’s back, whereas the cohesive bandage allows you to stick the two ends together ON TOP of the pillow on their belly button.
If this helps someone out there, I am also using a taped-up, sanitized quarter taped with sensitive medical tape over the belly button, then I use the pillow and cohesive bandage over the top of that. This method seems to be working well for my daughter’s hernia.

My daughter’s pediatrician told me I could wait for the hernia to hopefully repair on it’s own or get a hernia belt. Looking at my daughters protruding umbilical cord, I decided I needed to do something now. Well, I wish I had taken before and after photos. I guess I bought this thinking it’s not going to work. Well, it worked. I bought it for my newborn when she was 2 months. I kept it on for the time frame they suggest and changed out the nubs as instructed. My baby’s hernia is gone. As long as you follow the instructions, yes, it does work. You have to sort of push in the belly button then hold it in place and put the nub on it. It’s weird but that’s what the instructions said and it worked well.
The only suggestion I have is to change the placement of the Velcro. You have to pass it under the baby and strap it to the side. It’s just an awkward set up but manageable. Don’t put the belt on too tight either. Just enough pressure to keep it in place. DON’T FORGET TO PUSH IN THE BELLY BUTTON before placing the nub on it. This part is so important for proper healing.
I saved the hernia belt in case I have another baby with the same issue. HIGHLY recommend this exact belt because this is the only one I’ve used so far. I am extremely pleased.

When I went to my daughter’s doctor with my concern about her outie belly button, I was informed that it was in fact a hernia. The doctor told me that it would go away on its own over time and I shouldn’t worry about it. But my daughter is a crier and every time she cried, the hernia protruded more and more. It terrified me and I wasn’t sure if my daughter was in pain. I asked the doctor if I should get this hernia belt for my baby. I even showed her specifically the pictures from here. The doctor stated these belts don’t work and I should save my money. But I went with my gut instinct and ordered this. I AM SO HAPPY I DID. The picture I have attached was just after 3 days of my daughter wearing this hernia belt. She is now on her 3rd week of wearing it and her belly button looks even better. This has been such an amazing product. It is easy to use and clean (and my daughter had a few diaper blow outs while wearing this); I threw the belt in the washing machine and it came out like new. The sturdiness of it did not change, the Velcro remained the same. Sometimes I put it directly over her stomach/skin. Sometimes I put it over her onesie. It has not irritated her skin or caused a rash. It works the same whether on the skin or over clothes. My daughter did not become fussy or uncomfortable from wearing it. She’s even able to sit up in her stroller with no problem of the belt bothering her. I highly recommend this product! And for the price, it’s a steal!

I used the longer oval circle top for 15 days consecutively and the smaller circle for another 15 days consecutively also.
Really works for baby hernias. I would recommend using this belt asap for faster results. Still would recommend using it for the recommended instructions.

We discovered our son had an umbilical hernia after his umbilical stump fell off. His pediatrician told us to wait and watch, that it would go away on its own (plus warning signs to look for), but we were impatient. Firstly, the belt was way too big for our 1-2 month old so there was a lot of the belt flapping around, not attached to anything. Plus, he hated it and would flail and scream when we put it on him. At his most recent check-up (2.5months old and about 12 lbs), his hernia was already smaller without any intervention.
