UAB LNA-LANACARE
As mulheres acham essas almofadas calmantes para qualquer desconforto associado à amamentação, especialmente vasoespasmos. Projetadas por uma enfermeira dinamarquesa. Importadas por uma consultora de lactação.

Having a series of breast-feeding problems i.e. fast let-down, heavy leak, engorgement, and oversupply of breast milk, I would have given up on breastfeeding my baby if it had not been for these heavenly soft pads. They keep your breasts warm, and never feel wet or cold even when soaked with leaked milk. Before I met these, I used organic cotton pads from Under the Nile. As soft as they are, they are no match to these woolen ones (cotton pads get soaked and feel cold right away ).
Yes, they come with a high price tag, but in a long run, they are quite reasonable because with proper care, you most likely need only 2-4 pairs for your ENTIRE breastfeeding period (12-18 months on average? – I have been breast-feeding for almost two years now, and so far, I bought 4 pairs in total – my 3rd and 4th pairs are still good.) Plus, care is super-easy – you wash and replenish lanolin in them in lukewarm water (the same seller sells lanolin soap which makes the job easy or you can use Lansinoh lanolin in combination with most wool wash) once every week or so. Get two sets and rotate day and night. They are the BEST nursing pads you will meet EVER!
Update: Another review mentioned that they leak through – that may be true, but that is why you want to rotate more than two sets of pads to keep you dry. They dry fairly quickly so I cannot imagine you need more than two or three sets at a time even if you are a heavy leaker (I was). Also keep in mind that wool is capable of absorbing more moisture than cotton – the best part is that even when it is wet, it does not feel cold and yacky. If you want a natural, non-toxic, environmentally friendly solution, this is it.

I purchased a pair of the Ekstra in the small size. For reference, I am a large B, small C (when engorged). I have a strong let down and after reading the reviews decided the Ekstra was the obvious way to go. When I received the pads, I was shocked at how big they were! I thought for sure I would have to exchange them for the XS, but once I put them on, they fit perfect, to my surprise. While I was nursing my son, I had a strong let down and the pad on my other breast was soaked and I leaked through (not the entire pad, just the bottom). I was so bummed because these pads feel amazing!!!! And I really love the fact that they are all natural wool, instead of something synthetic or bleached. The Lansinoh disposable pads I had been using were making me itchy, which is also another reason I wanted to switch to these wool pads. So, I called Danish Wool directly and spoke to the husband and owner of the company. He was super knowledgeable and after explaining my situation, he recommended that I layer the pad with a mini (which is 3 1/2 inches in diameter) until the baby is a little older. Apparently the let down is stronger in the beginning. He was so kind and just awesome to talk to. I am super excited to receive the mini. Once I have a chance to use it with that, I will update my review. As of now, still giving this product 5 stars because even when wet, you can hardly feel that it’s even there. Very cool! And I think I need to use it a few times anyways to really break the product in and have it be at its most absorbent. On a side note, the same exact thing happened with the Aiden and Anais 100% cotton bibs I purchased for my first son. Apparently they needed a few washes/uses before they were fully absorbent, and this appears to be the same issue with the wool pads. Natural fibers work differently from synthetic and unfortunately a lot of us aren’t acustomed to using 100% natural products in today’s day and age.

Love them! They’re soft and not at all scratchy, keep my boobs warm so my nipples aren’t tensely contracted when I go to feed in a cold place (which would make it harder for baby to latch and inhibit letdown), keep nipples dry to prevent thrush-friendly conditions, and stop leaks getting through to my clothes.
However, I’m knocking off a star because I can’t use them alone. I tend to leak a lot from the opposite side while feeding. These wool pads just don’t absorb the milk quickly enough, so it runs down the inside and soaks the bottom of my bra instead. Washing the pads made no difference to absorbency. I now line them with a cotton or bamboo pad during a feed, and wear them alone the rest of the time as they are absorbent enough to contain occasional leaks between feeds.

These are soft and good for warmth but they fail on basic functionality – they leak! I also use cotton, bamboo, and disposable nursing pads with no leaking at all but these soak straight through and on to clothes. I would not buy again and feel I’ve wasted my money – they were expensive too! Seller was not helpful when I contacted them regarding the product’s performance. Although they help with Vasospasm / Reynaud’s and sore nipples I will have to seek an alternative or double up with another kind of pad which will be rather bulky. What a shame!

Though these seem expensive I opted to try them when I was struggling with vasospasms. Rumor had it that the warmth these provided would help – it did – but then I fell in love with them for other reasons. 1) they are super soft -you don’t think wool will be – but they are 2) they actually conceal better under clothes – this is counter intuitive because these things are HUGE – but because they are huge they lay better – warning – they will also make you look bigger as they are a little thicker then regular nursing pads (some are thicker then others – these are about as thick as bamboonies overnights). 3) they are sooo easy. I had mine 3-5 weeks before I washed them (and I’m not sure I needed to – but I wanted to wash my other pair – more on that later). You do have to re lanolize (which scared me) – but I googled it and found that I could just mix some water, lanolin (great use for my Lanisnoh lanilon that I didn’t like to use on my breasts), and a few drops of baby wash. You then just mix it with water and massage it into the pads and then air dry. I wear these EVERY day.
I was at a boutique in town and found a different brand (now I can’t remember the brand) – of wool breast pads – and I wanted a second pair – so I got them. They were about half the price – and now I know why. They are not nearly as soft – they are actually a little rigid. I haven’t decided if I hate them enough to get a second pair of These ones or not – They recommend you let the pair air at least once a day so I wear one pair at night and one pair during the day. I have been doing this now for 5 weeks and I love it.. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to regular disposables or cloth…

They looked very large when I first saw them but they’re comfortable and they keep me totally dry! They don’t look lumpy at all

Lana morbidissima e piacevole. Sono molto comode perché più grandi delle coppette che si trovano di solito, però non assorbono molto.se si hanno perdite di latte abbondanti i vestiti si bagnano.

I had a particularly bad start to my breastfeeding journey and while my nipples were healing from cracks/trauma I developed vasospasm. My nipples were very sensitive/hurt all the time and the bamboo pads that came with my nursing bras were not cutting it for comfort.
I panic ordered and tested a lot of relief items. I found these pads helpful for when I was out and about but not so much sleeping or between nursing. I found when at home a mini hot water bottle provided better relief between feedings.
These pads did provide some relief! But looking back I don’t think it was a game changer or anything.
Look up cleaning instructions before you buy as well.

These are incredibly soft but do not absorb well at all. The milk just seems to run down between my boob and the pad and soak my shirt underneath. They don’t feel cold when wet which is a huge bonus, but I’m sad they don’t soak up the milk very well. I would buy them again since they were soft enough on my extremely sore nipples when I first started to breastfeed, but don’t use them much anymore.

This purchase falls in the “desperately searching Amazon for relief” category. I am not breastfeeding, but I do get vasospasms from Raynaud’s during winter. I call these my “nipple sweaters.” I didn’t want to go through another winter with that kind of pain happening throughout the day, and saw reviews that suggested these to prevent vasospasms. After wearing them for a few hours, I’m wondering why all bras aren’t lined with wool! I’m not sure this would work under every bra/blouse combo as I’ve only worn it at home with a lace bralette and unlined underwire bra under a sweatshirt, but they are soft and comfortable, and I’m warm but not overheated. It hasn’t been itchy at all. No painful vasospasms, hallelujah! 🙌 For context, I am a 34HH and purchased medium (7″) in the thinnest option and it fits very well.
