Love that they are plant based and they have a wetness indicator and they are very absorbent.

I got so excited seeing this diapers and thinking they might be similar to Parasol in their designs and quality.
Umm it was worse. Waste of money. They are bulky and uncomfortable plus they leak. My toddler hated it.
I still have more than half left.
I’m probably gonna need to give away or discard, pretty sure my son won’t wear them again

  3. madisyn

These diapers are my absolute favorite. They are so soft it’s insane. Amazing quality. Never leaked once. These are definitely luxury diapers. And what’s even is that they are environmentally friendly!

Out of all the diapers I tried these are number 2 on my list, they would be number one if the price was a little cheaper, but overall one of the best diapers, I use these for nighttime only they hold the pee, no leakage. They are thick, absorb really fast. I especially love how clean they are. My baby has sensitive skin and these do no irritate him.

I really wanted to like these diapers as they are one of the most accessible “non-toxic” diapers in Canada. They also feel incredibly luxurious and soft. However the first night I put my 4 month old in the size 3 (he is 16lbs) I had to change him in the middle of the night ! The diaper fit properly and the leakage did not happen from the legs. The actual diaper itself had soaked through so much that when I put it on the table it left a wet mark. He sleeps roughly 8-10 hours at night and I have never experienced this with the pampers pure diapers. I’m hoping to have more success with ecopea or ecoriginal diapers (Both of which are difficult to get in Canada). Very disappointed given these diapers are nearly 1.00 per diaper! I gave it a 3/5 star because they hold smaller pees during the day well. Unfortunately a wet breastmilk poop will saturate them too 🙁

We’ve used a lot of non-toxic diaper brands and these have proven to really hold up! We very rarely have blow outs and they’ve held 8-11 hours of overnight pee when my baby has slept through. We keep buying the next size! Plus love that they don’t feel or sound like plastic, but a soft and thick bamboo.

  7. Maria Jennifer

did not hold well, leaky diapers 🙁

This is a bit of a read but stick with me because if you’re reading this then you’re likely a parent of a
child in diapers or maybe expecting your first. If that’s the case then it will be worth your time.
First – I think this is the first review I’ve ever written on Amazon. I read a ton of them (like everyone) but
haven’t felt the inspiration to ever write one until now.
My daytime job is in wound care, so helping people with chronic wounds caused by burns, infection,
trauma, or many other underlying medical conditions. I think this gives me a bit of a unique perspective
when evaluating diapers. My 24-hour a day job is parenting our amazing 11 mo. old. (who only
happened after years of IVF…but that’s a story for another day).
Probably not surprisingly, when we started researching diapers my number one priority was the health
of our kiddo’s skin. So this made me ask 2 questions:
    1) How quickly does the diaper remove moisture from the part of the diaper in contact
    with the skin?
    2) How breathable (aka “natural”) are the materials used to make the diapers are.
Let’s start with the second point…
To say that there is a lot of “greenwashing” (if you haven’t heard this word before, look it up.
Very interesting) going on with baby diapers is a huge understatement. When I went down the
rabbit hole that is researching “eco-friendly diapers” I discovered an entire world where
basically everyone says theirs is the best and the most eco-friendly and have laboratory testing
to prove it and they’re all splitting hares (see what I did there) on the details of each individual
material. Then you have tons of eco-friendly blogs that review the diapers, but they seem like
they’re being paid to do it. Bottom line – diaper brands aren’t legally required to disclose what
their diapers are made of, and everyone says theirs are the most pure so there’s no way to be
certain which one really is the most eco-friendly.
With than in mind, much of my reasoning why Terra is the best option here is empirical because
it’s basically impossible to prove so take it with a grain of salt… 1) The company is based in New
Zealand. It just seems like culturally New Zealand isn’t as profit-driven as we are. I also really
like that they’re legit with their claims… 2) They say they’re 85% plant-based when some others
make claims of 100% this or 0% that. Why would you say you’re 85%, which is clearly less than
others, unless you were refusing to play the greenwashing game?

    Back to the first point…
This is where they really sold me and the main reason we’re investing (because let’s face it,
these are NOT the cheapest option) in our baby’s skin and diapers. I saw a video on Insta from
someone I follow, Jamie Grayson, where he did an actual physical side by side test of how much
liquid each eco-friendly diaper holds and how QUICKLY the top layer of each diaper dried out. I
could not believe how quickly the top layer of the Terra dried out vs all the others. It was
literally dry in seconds whereas the other ones were all still wet when the test was done. I don’t
know why more people aren’t talking about this because it’s SUCH a critical aspect of keeping
skin healthy and avoiding diaper rash and bacteria growth that is common when a baby sits in
their wet. This was all I needed to see as a wound care specialist to stop looking, but for more
proof just google “moisture and diaper rash mayo clinic” to see what I mean. On top of that,
the amount of liquid that the Terra absorbed was waaay more than the others. They talk about
this on their Amazon page but the video was way more impactful and it was crazy to see. Since
we started using them, we’ve had 2 leaks (but both were because my husband was still working
on his diaper changing skills!) and critically, ZERO cases of diaper rash.
    Bottom Line –
In my opinion, Terra is hands down the winner when it comes to the health of our baby’s skin.
    Hope this was helpful!

I love these hands down, I haven’t had any leaking issues, it’s clean and skin friendly. Very affordable to me for what it offers. My only issue with it as to why I took a star away is the size, it’s super bulky and I hate that. Maybe it’s because it observed very well and keeps dry as far is urine is concerned maybe that’s why it’s created bulky. Nevertheless, I find it works for us.

  10. Deb White

Overall these are a good diaper.

If your priority is soft materials and eco-friendly, and you have a generous diaper budget then they are a great option.

As far as absorbency and performance, I was a bit disappointed. I started using size 1s when my twins were about 7.5 lbs and they were TERRIBLE! We were having daily blowouts and urine leaks. I kept trying them as my girls grew and it wasn’t until they hit 9lbs that these diapers worked properly. From 9-11pm the size 1 fit well and worked great.

We loved the simple design that didn’t show through light clothes. Plus, the bold green band makes it easy to find the front during middle of the night changes.
