I applied this Nemah – Calming Baby Lotion on my 3 years old son. It’s thick and rich, which goes a long way for just a little amount. The smell is light and botanical, which makes me feel relieved and comfortable to use on baby or kids’ soft skin. The only thing I don’t like is the bottle, though it looks cute, the bottle is impractical and inconvenient. The lotion is thick so that I have to button up the bottle first, then shake and squeeze it out. I prefer to use the normal/ordinary pump bottle, simple, easy and time saving. For this reason, I subtracted one star.

My daughters have sensitive skin that tends to be eczema prone in the winter time. This lotion is very helpful as it’s gentle on their skin, no harsh ingredients, it’s more moisturizing than other lotions we’ve tried. Just a heads up if you live in a place with higher elevation like Colorado, the first time you twist the lid to open, lotion starts streaming out on its own. Kind of fun because it’s like magic, but also a surprise! After using it more times, it stops doing this and you simply twist the lid then squeeze the bottle for lotion to come out. May need to explain this to your husband though. Mine did not understand how to do it the first time he tried it but my 4 year old taught him. Haha. Super easy to use and a fun design for a bottle. It looks nice on our changing table, very aesthetically pleasing. Overall, highly recommend as it works great at keeping our babies’ skin moisturized, just wish it was a little cheaper.

This lotion is nice and not heavy but the essential oils in it is a bit strong. I used it for myself at nighttime and I found that the smell is too strong for me. I’m sorry, wanted to love this. We got the shampoo and lotion. When I first smelled it I immediately did not like it, but we tried it to see if it would smell any better/different once on our baby’s skin. The shampoo smell dissipated once you put it in water. But the lotion did not. When I was lathering it on my son I immediately told my husband “this smells like the smell inside a porta potty when they use the solution to make it mask poop odor.” When I said that he immediately said “that’s what it is! I couldn’t place it.” Will be returning.

I wonder why the price point for this lotion is so high. Many other “ingredient-free” and baby-focused lotions are on the market. It was not very thick or creamy upon application. It absorbed quickly and provided good moisture. The smell is something hard to describe, very bland and almost fragrance-free. I am using this on my adult skin so maybe my review isn’t accurate for baby use. I also have sensitive skin and am willing to try new products. I can make body lotions, butters, and oils, or purchase ones much cheaper than this that feel better or smell better (or have no scent at all).
