So my sister recommended this to me and I’m so glad she did. Im almost done with my first jar and ill be buying a second. I make myself a little elixir every night with this and it seems to be doing some good. I love it. I take it mainly with half blueberry juice and half cranberry and also have mixed in my magnesium powder.
I’ve also just put it by itself in my iced lemon water and it has very very little taste. Nothing yuck about it. It’s worth every penny. It’s quality. No garbage ingredients. Basically scentless. So many benefits. I hope this helps whomever that’s interested in buying. Purchasing again right nowwwww. Making it a staple purchase
I quit taking cheap vitamin c from the store. It just takes too many to do the job. Then I went to pure L-ascorbic acid and mixed with baking soda like the Linus Pauling formula. However, the last batch of the L-ascorbic acid was defective. I know, because I got a very bad cold even though I was using it.
I’m really a believer in preventing colds or chasing them away if I start to get symptoms by using Vitamin C. So, I decided to try this product, because I’m slowly changing over to whole-food type supplements.
When this arrived in the mail, I had already started cold symptoms with sore throat, etc, I took 1/4 tsp and then again a few hours later. It chased away the cold symptoms. Ever since, I’ve been taking it in the morning and just before bed. I take it 4 times a day if I’m fighting off germs. It isn’t nearly as sour as L-ascorbic acid. By the way, most l-ascorbic acid and regular ascorbic acid (if there is a difference) comes from China, so I’m not crazy about that either.
I think this is pretty pricey, but I believe taking 1/4 tsp twice per day doesn’t seem to be depleting the product very quickly. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of price.
UPDATE 3/24/12:
Just finished the bottle after taking 1/4 tsp. twice a day. I don’t normally take vitamin C every day; but after reading about all the things it does besides colds, I decided to try it. Since this is very pleasant instead of very sour or huge pills, it is easy. The test was when my husband caught a cold from someone. He wasn’t taking this or any other vitamin C. I shared some of this with him for a few days. It didn’t delete his cold since it was only once a day, but his cold was less severe and went away completely much sooner. I didn’t catch it from him at all.
What is impressive is that whole-food Vitamin C seems to be much more effective than ascorbic acid/rosehips. I have to take 2000mg twice a day of that to do what 120mg (1/4 tsp) of this product will do! This is important to realize. Otherwise you might not try whole-food Vitamin C thinking you have to take a lot of it like you have to with ascorbic acid.
I still think it is a little pricey, so I plan to try a different brand that is also available on Amazon. I’ll let you know much later how that goes.
Only Vitamin C approved by the Root Cause Protocol diet, great product!
This is the best vitamin c powder that I have found. So much vitamin C is synthetic but this one is made from fruits and is all natural and non gmo. It tastes great and is a great way to get extra vitamin C in your diet. I highly recommend!
This powdered berry sourced Vitamin C and flavonoids is the only one I buy, and with a 3 year shelf life (at least), it is one that I don’t need to buy often. There are 180 servings when using the 1/4 teaspoon portion. That provides 120 mg of Vitamin C, which is 200% of daily value. I love that the vitamin C is derived from multiple natural sources and no synthetic ones. Impressive list of ingredients. I don’t use this every day, but it is my go-to vitamin C source when I want the extra punch of antioxidant activity. The reason why I initially went with this formula is because of the natural, food based ingredients and how it is so very gentle on my stomach. Many vitamins and pill supplements make me nauseous. This doesn’t, at all. As with any of these powdered supplements, they may not mix perfectly in water, but they mix well enough to do the job. I typically add some to water and drink up. It works fine in smoothies- not much of a taste to compete with other additions. Just in water there is a mild tart taste. They also make this in capsule form for those that want these types of ingredients, but prefer to take them in pill form. Either way, take a look at the ingredients (the sources of vitamin C and flavonoids), and what isn’t there to love?
This is organic vitamin C,not synthetic ascorbic acid.it is worth every dollar.
