Silent Agony –
Since I’m allergic to dairy–and it’s derivatives–I’ve been sampling “vegan friendly” plant protein bars and snacks. Most have had declarations that they’re processed on the same equipment (or in the same facility) as the most common allergens. It makes wonder why today’s moral crusading vegans don’t protest and question the practice.
I tried some other bars this company produces fairly recently. They tasted decent, and I really liked the fact they were so soft. My verdict on these chocolate fudge ones is the same. They smack of a dark chocolate. I like dark chocolate, so that’s okay. They can have a slightly better note, as a result. I may buy some time. The price, at $15.99, is comparable to the Cliff Builder bars (which can feel like eating granite). However, the Builders bars are a much better source of protein. The sense of satiety is much better with the Builders bars, as well. Both claim to be vegan friendly, but have the allergen declaration. In the end, there’s always a trade-off.

These were SO good!!!
I appreciated ordering the variety pack, seeing as you get to try a different flavor every time.
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter – really good, the peanut flavor wasn’t overpowering.
Blueberry – I was reluctant about this flavor, seeing as it’s not a super popular flavor with other protein bars. But i was pleasantly surprised at the taste of this one. It’s a little sickly sweet if you eat the bar in one go, but the blue berry flavor wasn’t artificial and I liked how there were small dried blueberries in the bar too!
Birthday Cake – definitely the most “guilt inducing” as it tasted like genuine birthday cake. Saved one of the two bars for last!
Cookie Dough – classic flavor. Delivered effortlessly.
Lemon – again, another unexpected flavor. The best way to describe it is by comparing it to Fruity Pebbles. It was like fruity pebbles compressed into a bar. So if you like those, I definitely recommend it.
Chocolate chip mint – I liked this flavor and think it would sell well with those who are fans of this combination. I don’t really enjoy chocolate chip mint anything, so this flavor wasn’t my favorite. However, the quality was still there.
Cookies and Cream – classic flavor as well. Reminded me of an oreo too, which is probably the intention.
My top three:
1. Birthday Cake
2. Blueberry
3. Lemon
It would be so cool if you could customize the variety pack, seeing as how I’m not a fan of chocolate chip mint, nor is my family. But 12 bars for $20 bucks, vegan, and w/ 15 grams of protein?! Not to mention that they are very filling.
I will admit though, palm oil being an ingredient is disappointing. not a complete turn off for me as a buyer since it is so common. It’s just something I would be cautious of and probably won’t consume these ALL the time.
I was impressed and will definitely be buying them again. Thanks for pleasing the vegans! I’m surprised you guys aren’t more popular. I hope to find this brand in stores too.

I’m new to plant based protein bars so I can’t speak too much to texture of these bars in comparison to others. Overall I thought they were soft but a little gritty and definitely palatable. I got the variety pack and really liked some flavors and didn’t really care for others so here’s my flavor breakdown. Chocolate Peanut Butter was a 3/10, it didn’t really have much peanut butter flavor at all. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was a 4/10, it was just kind of a generic sweet bar covered with chocolate, again no super prominent flavor. Birthday Cake was a 5/10, a decent vanilla bar but didn’t scream birthday cake to me. Snickerdoodle was an 8/10, it had a nice sweet cinnamon flavor to it (although the cinnamon was very strong so keep that in mind) and overall I enjoyed it. Blueberry was 9/10, it was a nice bright flavor. Lemon was a 10/10 and by far my favorite. I would order the last three again but not the first three.

These are a good. The flavor tastes exactly like my grandma’s home made fudge! Only one gram of sugar per bar 11 grams of protein. The sweetness is similar to 60% cacao dark chocolate candy bar. Great for on the go. The one drawback for me is the little bit whitish goo that seeps out onto the bottom surface. I’m sure it’s the vegetable glycerin or fat from the almond butter, softening and seperating in this summer heat wave during delivery, but until I read all the ingredients, it was off-putting. Maybe the makers could explain on the box, so people won’t think there is something wrong with them. Pretty pricey, but then, what isn’t these days?

I love these bars and so do my kids. They have a great amount of protein and fiber, which is a plus. They are soft and the flavors are amazing. I buy these at the store, but this variety pack comes with a couple flavors I have never seen and the price was a little cheaper per bar than at the store. They arrived a little squishy and melted, but it is hot in Arizona, so I can’t fault the company or ups for that:).

So I went on a quest to try a bunch of protein bars. So many are out there. Some are just full of unknown ingredients with a never ending shelf life! I tried one of these from a local grocery store. Really liked the quality ingredients, and not a lot of ingredients too. My sister is a dietician, and gave me the thumbs up for these as well. I also liked the fact that they have a good amount of fiber in them. Most protein bars unfortunately fail. The flavors are all great! Not a bad one in this variety pack. Blueberry was my favorite, then it was the snickerdoodle, then the birthday cake… they are all my favorites! Sometimes I heat them up in the microwave for 22 seconds. It takes it to another level! I highly recommend and will buy again!

I just purchased and threw away an entire box of these bars because the net carbs is significantly higher than 3 net which is used in the description. I am not even sure where that number is coming from. For a person with elevated blood glucose such as myself, accuracy in description is so important. Taste was okay– tried a bite of the coconut.
