So there I was, caught in the crazy circus of my life, trying out yet another ‘miracle’ product that promised to set my gut right, live up to the hype. And here it is, ‘The Inner Health Colon & Gut Cleanse Detox Formula’, talk about a mouthful, right? It reminded me of the juggling act my husband does, except this time it was with my gut health.
Surprisingly, this blend of herbs, fibers, and probiotics wasn’t exactly a letdown. It wasn’t the greatest show on earth either, but hey, it took care of my circus belly in a manner that would put kombucha to shame.
Guys, don’t expect to turn into a detox goddess overnight. Real talk, for me, it did help with the occasional bloating though. And hey, no bad breath or upset stomach, comes as pretty neat, considering most supplements feel like a stampede passing through. But remember, the trick here is to take it before you go to bed, bit of a hassle, but worth it.
Didn’t exactly leave me tooting the detox trumpet, but it didn’t totally gross me out either. If you’re a fellow ‘gut-clown’ like me, give it a whirl, just keep your expectations tethered to reality, not the big top!

I know supplements affect everyone differently, so this may work well as a gut cleansing and detox formula for some people, but it didn’t work for me. I followed the directions, and started with one capsule each night, for 5 nights. Nothing happened or changed, so I increased to two capsules. Still no change. I’m very disappointed, as I was hoping it would be a good cleansing supplement to add to my wellness regimen. However, I will have to find a different one.
This product arrived double sealed, with clear instructions. It has a long expiration date, and seems to have quality ingredients. I didn’t experience any discomfort or side effects. It just felt like I didn’t take anything.

The Inner Health Colon Cleanse Detox capsules contain fennel seed, ginger root, psyllium husk, flaxseed powder, L acidophilus, senna, oat bran, prune juice, all ingredients I’ve taken previously in other forms, and work for me. Like that a dose is just one or two capsules and that they’re easy to swallow with no aftertaste. The bottle suggests a 15-day cycle with occasional use and at least a 6 to 8 week break between cycles, so with 90 capsules, they will last a long time. I’m now a few days into my first cycle and so far, so good.

This is kind of an interesting supplement – you take one capsule before bedtime with 8 oz of water. It’s meant to be used for short term periods, up to 15 days at a time. I used this for a week and definitely had very regular BMs in the morning. I have to say that I don’t love drinking 8oz of water before bedtime, but it seems like a good product for an occasional supported colon cleanse.

So, let’s be honest here – gut “detox” formulas tend to be, ahem, very obviously working, if they do indeed work. You might not even be able to leave your house if they are working especially well.
I was interested in a more gentle product that might produce “small” results daily. On the plus side, this product is easy to swallow, did not cause any stomach irritation, and did not cause any toilet emergencies.
On the other hand, it did…nothing. I have not noticed any improvements in digestion or regularity. I tried taking two capsules instead of the lower dose of one capsule, but still nada.
Just because it does not work for me does not mean it won’t work for someone else. I will keep using the bottle and if I see improvement or any results, I will update my review.

I take 1 capsule in the evening with a glass of water probably an hour before bed. No upset stomach, no cramping, no running to the bathroom the next morning. This is a very light smooth detox for your gut. I didn’t feel like having to go to the bathroom was an emergency situation, these capsules just made it easier to push and have a bowel movement, no struggling, no hard stools that hurt when trying to go, just a much smoother complete evacuation. I only use these for about 5 days in a row and then take a break.

IMPORTANT! – This is a cleansing program NOT a daily supplement. The directions state that you should take 1 to 2 tablets with 8oz of water at night before bedtime for up to 15 days. Once you complete a 15 day cycle DO NOT repeat for another 6 to 8 weeks. I don’t think that they make this clear enough in the Amazon listing.
That being said, I have been taking one capsule at night for about a week now and plan on completing a 15 day cycle. I have noticed a difference and seem to be a bit more regular since I started. I like that this is manufactured in the USA since so many supplements these days are “formulated” in the USA, but then sent out to be manufactured in China or somewhere else to save on costs. The ingredients appear to be high quality and I have experienced no adverse effects since I started taking this. I will post an update if needed, but, for now, I am very pleased with this product.

I took some antibiotics recently, and along with probiotics I decided to try these. Sadly, I can’t comment on any huge change. Maybe that’s a good thing, has the less news the better.
