i really like sungboon products, so far theyve all been great quality and work really well with my skin. i apply this after my toner, absorbs very well and easily. i do a small pea size on my forehead and 2 slighly larger pea sized drops, plenty enough and spreads all over my face with no problem. the texure is a slightly thicker liquid, doesnt run down your face all that much, id say it’s like a thinner snail mucin essence in terms of thickness, but without the overly sticky feel.
applying my serum after and it absorbed so much better and instead of the usual shiny and slightly lotion-y feel, when using this essence, it leaves my skin more matte and only a slight sheen.
this has not caused acne breakouts for me, and i noticed instant results in terms of smoother texture and more even skin tone. this works perfectly with my current skincare lineup and routine.

I really loved this serum. It’s all gone now 🙁 but it was lovely while it lasted. I found that my skin felt a lot more hydrated after using this product. The dropper was a pain in the butt at first as getting product out of the bottle was a task and a half. But I realized after dispensing the product in my hands, if I push all the air out of the dropper and then put it back into the bottle, when I tried to get product out the next time, it would easily suck up into the dropper. Overall, this is a lovely product for a very fair price. Most products in this price range don’t really do much but with this one, you will see results. I have very sensitive skin too and this only helped improve my skin.

Got this for my teen who has to be very diligent with her routine to keep her acne in control. She already uses all the Korean skin care products and we are satisfied with the quality and what it does to her skin.
This is a very nice and mild product, completely transparent without any smell that I can distinguish. It looks like super thick toner, and it applies easily and absorbs pretty fast. It goes at the stage after cleansing your skin and applying toners, and before moisturizers. So far it didn’t urritate or cause any other problems. I hope with long-term use it’ll work just as well as other Korean products we’ve tried so far.

The Sungboon Editor Centell Lacto AC Less Skin Barrier Essence comes in a glass container in a securely sealed box, which adds a luxurious feel. It has no scent and has a thick, gel-like texture. The essence is so viscous that it barely moves when I drip a drop onto my hand. However, it spreads easily and has a light, slippery consistency that absorbs fairly quickly. It feels slightly tacky for a moment before becoming barely noticeable. I recommend applying this after lighter, watery toners, essences, or serums. It provides enough hydration and moisturization that it could serve as the final step in your routine, especially if you have oily skin.
I tested this essence for about two weeks, specifically to see if it would improve my acne scars like in the product photos. During the last week of testing, my skin barrier health became compromised from using other products, leading to irritation and stinging with most skincare applications—except in the area where I was testing this essence. This indicates that it did a great job of soothing and calming my skin as well as strengthening my skin barrier.
While I didn’t notice much change in oil control, I did see a reduction in redness and some brightening in the overall tone of my skin. However, while individual acne marks appear slightly smaller, they remain similar in color.
I think this is a very gentle and safe way to improve your overall skin tone. I’m sure if I keep using this, I will see results similar to those shown in the product photos.
