I have been using this eye cream intermittently for a while trying to assess whether I like it or not. It does seem to have a noticeable effect making my eyes less puffy looking, and I have not felt any stinging in my eyes from using it, which is fairly common for me. However, it has a noticeable petroleum smell that tends to linger, which is unpleasant to have following you around. My husband has said he can’t smell it on me, but I can smell it. But probably more concerningly, after application, I feel like my eyes develop a sort of film over my vision, and I have to blink repeatedly attempting to clear it. It took me a while to realize the pattern that I was experiencing that effect when I used this product. I can’t quite imagine how applying a very small amount on my skin around my eyes triggers that (I am very careful not to get it too close and risk getting it in my eyes), but I’ve done enough trial and error that I’m now confident of the pattern.
I won’t continue to use it, but I can’t be sure this isn’t a quirk of my own biology. I do tend to react poorly to many facial products and have to be careful with testing them, where others do not report a similar reaction.

This Redmint Anti-Aging Eye Cream is a nice, cream colored thick lotion in a tub. But it has a strange petroleum smell (like gasoline on the hands after fueling the car). It’s hard to describe. The automotive fragrance dissipates as it dries, but putting it on before bed I was not able to rest easy since I could smell it quite strongly. The cream absorbs well into my skin but has not made any noticeable improvement to my dark rings, wrinkles, or crepey skin after a few weeks of use. It does make my skin feel softer and nourished, but I have used products at a lower cost that make an immediate difference in the look of my undereye discoloration and fine lines. This isn’t making much difference at all and at this price point, I feel like it really should (over one hundred at time of review).
