This is a very enjoyable bar to eat that I can’t believe this has the nutriton of a meal replacement bar. The flavor is a nice mild dark chocolate with a subtle nuttiness to it. The texture amazingly somewhat light for a meal replacement bar with a soft chewy brownie bite with crunchy nut bits in it. It is maybe a tad on the dry side however. With fifteen grams of protein, twenty grams of carbs, and twelve grams of fiber, this bar has some solid nutrients in it for the smaller size it is.

I’m a bad vegetarian thanks to being a picky eater, so protein bars are super helpful for me. These Dynabite bars (at least the chocolate ones) are tasty! They’re extremely dense and make you crave a drink, so make sure you have plenty available when eating one of these.
If you have arthritis like me, you may struggle to open the packaging. The bar I just had was extremely tightly sealed. That’s great for keeping them fresh and for people out in nature (I assume they’d be harder than a typical protein bar for a bear to sniff out), but if you typically struggle with packaging, this may be something you need scissors or a knife to get into. It would be extremely frustrating to grab one of these for fuel later in your day just to find out you can’t get into it when you’re hungry.
Also, I doubt I need to mention it, but just in case: the box is papery with a wood print and not actually a crate of some kind.

This is probably the best tasting energy bar I’ve eaten in at least a year. There are so many ways for energy bars to go awry: taste, texture, protein content, sugar content, and many other factors. This one actually checks all the boxes that are the most important for me.
Taste
It tastes really great, very peanutty. They’re “dry” bars, nothing creamy or chewy, they are more crunch in texture but very easy to bite into. They have the ideal level of sweetness. Many protein bars are overpowering in sweetness or taste fake. This just tastes like peanuts, and it’s great.
Portion size
The bar is a pretty large one, and it works well as both an energy bar (I take them on our family hikes, we all enjoy them!) and as a meal replacement (sometimes I grab one in the morning for breakfast when I’m short on time before work.) Plenty big enough to feel like you got a good amount.
Satiety
They keep me full for a long time, which I am sure is because there are 17 grams of protein. It’s not easy to make a bar with that much protein that also tastes delicious, but they have done it.
Overall Rating
All in all, it’s five stars in my opinion! I had given up on protein bars but these got my attention again. I might try the chocolate one next, but the peanut is so good I’ll certainly be purchasing more soon.

Dry texture making it easy for travel without worrying about it melting. I went with the chocolate version as it is said that cacao is good for the heart. The taste reminds me of a more cakey fudge brownie. Make sure you have water or some other drink to wash it down.

I am so happy I found these because my picky boys love protein bars but have a hard time finding ones they really like. They enjoyed both The taste and the texture of the protein bar as they were well made. The quality is pretty good and it’s also a good value for the money. The size is perfect and portable and very convenient for the kind of job that they have. And as a mom I like the fact that the sugar content is not too high! Lol! I would recommend this product to other people if they like protein bars.

These bars have a pretty decent taste and texture to them, almost like a more ground up version of a payday into a dense bar. Portion size is reasonable and can almost be filling if you’re a light eater. Could use as a breakfast bar or on the go energy snack.

These DYNABITE chocolate flavored energy bars are pretty much what you’d expect from an energy bar. You’re unlikely to mistake them for a candy bar – they’re palatable enough that you’ll be willing to eat them, but not so much that you’ll want to binge them. The flavor reminded me of a CLIF bar, though the texture is more uniform.
Some low-carb energy bars taste very artificial. With these, I noticed a mild soy flavor to them, but otherwise the flavor seemed natural and appropriate.
They do not seem prone to melting – I received these on a 100+ day, and stuck them in the fridge after receiving them in case they contained meltable chocolate. They don’t, though – all the blocks are properly shaped, with no residue or evidence of melting on the wrapper. So these seem like they’d be ideal for use in situations without good temperature control, whether that’s backpacking or keeping in the car.
The current price of $14.99 for 10 seems a reasonable value compared to other similar products.
