I was pleasantly surprised by how good this tastes! It’s quite sweet but not overwhelmingly so. But it’s sweet enough that I was actually surprised while I was just reading over the ingredients and realized this is only sweetened with stevia. If things can taste this good with no artificial sweeteners then more companies should make the switch. I like things to taste sweet but not extremely sweet(something I call sickly sweet), and this hits that sweet spot where the taste is just right. I wasn’t familiar with the benefits of L-glutamine until getting this and reading up on this amino acid.
While reading about it, I learned of the term conditionally essential amino acids, as L-glutamine falls in this category. As a conditionally essential amino acid, under normal circumstances, your body can synthesize enough glutamine to meet its needs. However, in certain situations such as intense physical stress, severe illness, or injury, the body’s requirements for glutamine can exceed its capacity to produce it. During these times, glutamine intake can become essential, making it necessary to obtain it through diet or supplementation to ensure adequate levels for maintaining health and supporting recovery processes. If you exercise on a regular basis then I think it can be beneficial to supplement L-glutamine. This drink gives me a delicious way to do so. I would drink this even if it wasn’t a supplement. I would love to see this brand release more flavors in the future. A drink mix containing all essential amino acids(plus L-glutamine) that tastes like this would be amazing!

I have struggled for years with digestive issues as a result of IBS, EDS, MCAS, SIBO, GERD etc etc, and doctors have always recommended l-glutamine. I struggled to take it consistently because I didn’t really enjoy the plain powder in water, so I was really excited when Essential Stacks released this new flavor and it turned into a really delicious drink that I now look forward to every evening – sometimes with ice! It’s not overpowering, and it has helped me with consistently taking the supplement which has already started to make a difference to my bloating, bowel habits and pain.
I also did a lot of research into the quality of l-glutamine, previously, and some of the other “high quality brands” are actually made with cheaper l-glutamine from overseas. Essential Stacks is the only one sourced in America and the quality is the highest on the market. So I was really excited when the flavoured version was released.
I also love that it’s organic and non-gmo without sugar or nasty additives, because that can cause its own issues for people with sensitivities like me. Highly recommend! Very glad to have found it..

The flavor in this L-Glutamine powdered mix is very good. It has a sort of lemonade quality with a hint of raspberry. The powder is easy to mix and is very sweet should you taste even a small amount of dry powder. When using a scoop (included) of powder to mix into 8 ounces of water (as suggested for 5mg), the resulting drink tastes quite good. It doesn’t have a powdery or mineral taste at all. The drink is a bit cloudy and has no unusual texture or noticeable aftertaste.
The lemon flavor tastes quite natural, not artificial. The raspberry flavor could be more intense, but it works out well in the mixed drink. Overall, the flavor profile is quite good and it’s relatively sweet, but not too sweet.
The container, as printed in the flavoring notes on the top of the lid, states they’re having a supply chain issue with the containers they’re using for this product. It seems they may be using a larger container than was previously used for the amount of product inside. As a result, the container is about half full of powder. Be aware that when you get this product, the container is larger than is needed for the powder it contains. Don’t expect the container to be full to the top.
For the price point of around USD $23 for this container of L-Glutamine and at 50 servings per container, this works out to USD 46 cents per scoop which delivers 5mg of L-Glutamine. Comparing that to 500mg capsules at around 9 cents per capsule, that works out to about 90 cents for 10 capsules that also deliver the same 5mg. This powder works out at approximately half the cost of a capsule brand priced at $10 for 120 capsules delivering 500mg per capsule. It’s also much easier to take as a drink than swallowing down 10 capsules.
Because this is a flavored powder, you can mix it into shakes, smoothies and even tea. It could even be baked into food products, but heat could potentially damage the efficacy of the Glutamine.
Overall, I like this product very much and I would definitely get it again.

Good flavor but not too strong, it dissolved ok there was still some powder at the bottom but not too bad. The only effect I noticed was it made me poop more but not a bad thing.

This powder tastes good, without an artificial flavour taste. It took about two weeks but it really settled my bloating symptoms. I just mixed one scoop in a large bottle of water. My waistline is smaller by two centimetres without change in my body weight. It works, that in itself makes it worth the money.

I ordered this in March 2024, and the jar came double-safety sealed with a best-by date of December 2026. The ingredients are clearly listed, and the product is gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, vegan, and soy-free. The manufacturer claims it is 3rd-party tested. There was a considerable amount of empty space in the jar, which the manufacturer attributes to not having the correct size because of supply-chain issues. The product includes a scoop to ensure you use the correct amount.
I have used the entire jar in smoothies without any unpleasant side effects. The taste is pleasant, and I don’t need any additional sweetener for my smoothies.
