I been feeling pretty good with this one, I have trouble staying focused but this really seems to help the best, now the only downside I’ve seen is my sleep hasn’t been as good but it’s almost like I don’t need or want to sleep either? It’s almost like they put you in a finishing “get it done” mindset and they really curved my appetite too, seems like im never hungry anymore. It’s strange but overall they do work. Not all of these are the same, this brand and “real mushrooms brand” are the only ones I’ve felt differently with while taking them, the Real mushrooms brand made hungry as hell all day, but I sleep great with those.

I didn’t notice a difference in mood change, energy level, memory improvement, or otherwise. Bottling was nice and professional however.

Great boost and focus. Does the job. Started with one a day. Might start two a day.

I have been taking for over a month now. Taking one pill a day I feel like I don’t forget small tasks as easily, forget why I came into a room as much, or forget what I was looking for. Not a magic pull, but I feel like I do get benefit from this supplement.

Ive been taking this once a day for about 3 months now. At this point, I enjoy the effect of this so much, its hard to imagine that I’ll ever stop taking it. As far as cognitive function goes, I havnt noticed an overwhelming amount of difference in my day to day, but I have, without a doubt, still noticed a difference. In particular, Ive noticed that I dont forget things quite as much as I used to. Ive always had a bad memory, but this has been helping me to not overlook and forget about little things that I would have otherwise. It has been very helpful to me in that regard.
The biggest difference I have noticed was actually something that I wasnt even expecting I would have. I feel a significant, almost immediate, boost to my energy levels after taking my morning lions mane capsule. Before starting taking this, I used to need to consume at least 100mg of caffeine within about 45 minutes of waking up, simply to begin to function as a human. But Ive noticed that I no longer even need my coffee or caffeine for the first 2+ hours of the day, as the lions mane gets me moving and functioning fast and efficiently. It also feels like a much cleaner, less jittery type of energy than caffeine gives me. Dont get me wrong, after a few hours, I still grab my cold brew or Bang energy drink, but for the first few hours of the day, I simply dont need it, as I already feel awake, sharp and mobile.
After about 3 months of taking this daily, I absolutely love this product so far.

I’ve been taking two capsules a day for a few months now and I’ve noticed a difference. This lions mane helps with my ability to concentrate and fights off brain fog. That’s the main reason I wanted to start taking lions mane, to help my mind focus. I think it gives me some motivation, too. Also it aids with sleep and dreaming. I have had so many detailed dreams that I can remember since I started taking these capsules.

I’m so happy I found this after constantly breaking my head with what to get or if it was even worth it. Not only did I get a potent product; I also found my go-to company for supplements.
TL;DR skip below to ~~~
Coming from a family with a history of Alzheimer’s, brain health is something that has become extremely important to me. Especially after seeing some signs of it with some relatives, I embarked on a personal quest of slowing down or preventing the disease from happening. I’ve tried omegas with certain diets, and “focus pills” that didn’t seem to help much (mostly gave energy but no cognitive improvements) however the one thing I noticed popping up online was the talk of mushrooms [Lion’s Mane] being a superfood for the brain which provided some of the most promising studies for dementia. I was excited until I realized that growing them would be a long struggle. That left me with capsules as my only choice. Host Defense felt like the obvious brand until I kept bumping into talk about how their supplement does not focus on using the fruiting body for extract but instead goes for the mycelium that contains quite a bit of grain, which has some people questioning its true effectiveness in spite of being in a popular podcast and having a rabid fanbase. I’m sure it still probably works but I didn’t have much confidence in it.
An uncle of mine said he bought some before and didn’t notice any cognitive improvement after a month- that he would have continued but stopped because he felt it may have been causing him headaches instead. That was a bummer because outside of Host Defense everything seems obviously shady: it goes from people falsely claiming to be doctors to every batch being a different size/color or companies claiming to have third party lab analysis while refusing to reveal certifications and of course, somehow these all manage to get 1,000+ 5-star reviews. !!Fake reviews or bought reviews (I’ve been offered free products or gift cards specifically for 5-star reviews many times) are rampant on Amazon so always question things, especially when it involves something that’ll be going directly into your system!!
To my surprise though, after searching online specifically for whole fruiting body Lion’s Mane extract, Nootropics Depot popped up. I never noticed it was also on Amazon, I guess buried underneath all the bogus products around pg 40 or something. I questioned the low review count as Amazon has conditioned me to do yet kept seeing nothing but good things. It was cool to see they are a US-based company that has their own lab with third-party testing and are not afraid to show anything you ask for which would be redundant as they already tend to make most everything public anyway. Not to mention they are active on their own Reddit along with the owner and are open to any discussion. I mean seriously, the only people that ever really complain about them are those that whine about not getting a spoon with their powders when you’re supposed to be using a damn milligram scale for accuracy.
~~~And then of course the product. I love that they offer you a regular 1:1 extract which can be for the general health benefits or this more potent 8:1 extract which focuses more on cognitive function. It arrives wrapped in tamper-evident plastic so you know it’s new. Smells a bit like hay. Gives you the option of taking 1 or 2 capsules a day. Really no taste and easy to swallow. I got one for both my mom and aforementioned uncle (she takes one capsule; he takes 2 daily). So far she seems less stressed and my uncle says that he feels his brain fog has been gradually clearing up and he’s only been on them for 3 weeks. I notice that my dreams seem much more vivid so these pills definitely do something. This has all been so promising in such a short time it’s almost surreal. THE FACT IT TOOK SPECIFIC WORDING FOR ME TO FIND THIS PRODUCT IS SO DUMB MEANWHILE SNAKE OILS ARE PUSHED ONTO YOU
I would recommend getting a milligram scale and buying powder versions from their website if it’s not available on amazon. You usually get so much more product for less money this way! And making a capsule is so easy and affordable if you still prefer that route. I’d also say check out their other stuff which have been top tier so far. The Longvida Curcumin has been a godsend and is a favorite as it has the same inflammation benefits you would expect along with the added benefit of being able to reach your brain to help prevent brain diseases. It stacks well with Lion’s mane. At this point, I’ll only ever consider other brands if Nootropics Depot doesn’t sell it in the first place because it’s scary the consistently high quality their products have been (and I’ve bought quite a few different ones at this point) that it would be the biggest shame if this company were to disappear thanks to snake oil merchants
I thought it important enought that after 5 years of shopping at Amazon I write my first review
