I was very surprised at how effective this is. As I get older, I’m finding it more difficult to focus on things, and my short-term memory seems to be “spotty.” Nothing major, but enough that it’s annoying, almost like a mild case of adult attention deficit disorder — I was easily distracted, couldn’t seem to finish projects, etc.
A doctor friend suggested I give this a try. I honestly wasn’t expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised. The effect was apparent within a couple of days for me. I noticed an increase in energy, and less “fragmented” focus. I could start a task and easily finish it quickly, without getting pulled into some tangential project.
After taking it for about 8 months, I decided to test and see how I would react by NOT taking it for a few weeks.
Again, I noticed the difference fairly quickly. The fuzzy thinking returned, the distraction-driven tasks and projects, etc. That was enough for me to start taking it again.
This product, combined with a doctor-recommended increase in Vitamin D3, have had a major impact on my overall mood. My house is cleaner, too, now that I can start and complete a specific task without launching into a half dozen others, and not finishing any of them! 🙂

I did not realize it had side effects until I looked it up. I was running at the gym and felt dizzy after a run. It was the ginkgo so I stopped taking it. It was too strong for me.

I am sorry for the subjectivity in my review, but I cannot comment on whether or not this product is effective for cognition (the reason I take it). It definitely does not hurt, but I am not convinced it does anything to help my brain power. I spend most of my time studying and I can definitely tell you I was impressed with how well I could process information during the time I was taking this product. However, I am not convinced I would not have been able to do this without supplementing with this product. The bottom line is standardized biloba extracts do have great antioxidant properties and may help slightly with performance of the brain. No magic pill here, just a decent addition to your supplement regimen if it is within your budget. When my supply runs out, I will consider purchasing more but I do not necessarily consider this a staple. Give it a shot for yourself, see what you think.

Ginkgo capsules seem to have some positive effect on the memory.
But dose of capsules is available in India is not sufficient to support your brain.
I tell this from my personal experience.

This product has reduced my Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) down to almost 0%. I’ve always had a teeny bit of ringing in the ears, off and on. However, in the past year or so it had gotten very loud to the point it was hard to go to sleep. I had read that reducing sugar and salt intake could help; but, I also read about Gingko as a remedy for some.
I am very happy to report that after taking this product daily for a month my Tinnitus was almost gone. Now, two months later, and it completely gone most of the time. When it is there, it is so minimal it is not a bother.
While I did not get this product to help with brain health or memory, I do actually think it has helped with that too. I feel just a little sharper, less sluggish, with my brain functioning. Awesome! So glad I tried this product.
Also awesome is how good the quality of Dr’s Best products is while being priced lower than other brands with a similar level of quality.
I can highly recommend this product.
