I’m not in a position to evaluate or compare multiple brands of aspirin. I can tell you that St. Joseph low dose (82mg) aspirin has an enteric coating to protect your stomach from the acid that *is* aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). Enteric-coated tablets are designed to be released in the gut, instead of the stomach. As such, these tablets are easy to swallow and have no taste.
I have a heart condition that requires I take one of these 82mg aspirin daily. I prefer St. Joseph over other brands, including “buffered aspirin.”

Doctor wanted me to use these as a preventative. Low dose has the coating makes it easy to take and I’ve never had any upset. Given that it is a daily, the bulk price is helpful.
As I am a nostalgic fan of the orange creamsicle flavor of my youth I was originally expecting that flavor. Then I of course I realized that was the crushable, chewable chalky children’s aspirin – designed to help little kids accept the medicine. This is the older folks’ version meant to be swallowed of course. Designed to release much later in the digestion. And most older folks would probably not love the creamsicle flavor. be turned off by the flavor. I am just noting that this consumer would love to re-connect with that old aroma and flavor.
